Made with the same award-winning foam as the original, Beautyblender Pro blends makeup to an undetectable, airbrushed finish. Ok so I had 2 of the original beauty blenders and thought why the heck would I need another but curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to see if the pro was any different. When wet, it expands to about twice its size and becomes super soft to create an even, smooth blend and bounce.

Personally I find that the softness helps with blending in my concealer for under-eyes/ foundation for the whole face it just makes everything look flawlessly smoooood.

It's not as smooth or soft because it was made to be dense and not absorb as much product and to clean more easily. However, this is not the case with powder foundation and the Black does a better job there because it is so soft and goes into compacts nicely, IMO. This allows the sponge to be “full” so that the makeup product sits on top of the sponge rather than being absorbed, allowing you to use less product every time. I love both of these as far as application is concerned, but I would say that Black is da deal where powder foundations are concerned. I kept the black one, gave the pink one to a SKEPTIC friend of mine ;) and I gave the under eye one to a friend who REALLY wanted it.
