I would never expect this to smell so good from the notes listed, but now that I'm learning to love the works of the great Bernard Chant, I am finally game to wear Halston; between Halston and Aromatics Elixir, also a Chant creation, I'd probably give AE the edge, but that doesn't make Halston any less of a fabulous scent, not to mention an incredible bargain.

and reading the notes on this site I got to find out what it had in it and no wonder I could not really put my finger on it since it complex but fabulous.

A girl in my junior high drama class wore it to school one day and I just fell in love with this scent. I see the Azuree reference and would even go to a Cabochard reference, which may well be a leather note. Doesn't feel like something people would wear to nightclubs, though I suppose it could be seen as sexy and the intimacy of the projection is preferable, IMO, to the more loud and brash perfumes I associate with clubbing.Not surprisingly, this reformulation does not smell sultry, or any way reminiscent of a 70s nightclub. The release of Halston, while I don't remember it from the time, pretty much coincided with my mid to later teen years, where school dances and later discos were all about, well, The Disco! Then the fragrant pair Catalyst for women and Catalyst for men were presented in 2003 and 2004, respectively. It is an earthy, dark green, very heavy hitter with what feels to me, a cucumber-like note at the top.
