But the giddiness and the happiness I got reading that book, I personally experienced with this book. All those feelings of hate and aggression both Quinton and Oakley have had for years are finally starting to wain and what is left behind are feelings neither one of them ever expected to feel. Yet, days later Oakley is still thinking about the bad boy with a temper and his crazy idea is starting to hold merit. The pinch between his brows is kind of cute, and it takes a good amount of self-control—an amount I didn’t know I possessed—to keep my thumb from smoothing it back out.

They both but so much emotion into their voices — it felt like you could feel the happiness, desire, teasing, and even desperation in their voices at different points. I love my smut don’t get me wrong but I would have loved to see them a little more individually and to see them together a little more outside their smexy time. I am genuinely pleased that I opted for a second reading, as it granted me a deeper appreciation for the characters and their journeys. I picked this up because I was really in the mood for M/M and it definitely scratched that itch for me.Then there was the predictable 75% split because of course what happened at the beginning was going to cause chaos.

I’m a sucker for a great enemies to lovers book and this didn’t disappoint the ship sailed and then some. Usually in these college romances, parents play a big part of keeping the two apart or driving a wedge between them, and at the beginning it really looked like this story was going that route since Oakley is a legacy kid and Quintons parents are the typical rich, ice-cold waspy types who don’t approve of him playing already. As you can see, they had many sweet and meaningful moments together outside of the sex, and as a reader, I appreciated that.It’s no secret that when it comes to writing I would read this woman’s grocery list if she handed it to me. My heart ached for Quinton, who's so rich and yet yearning for so many simple things he's always been denied. When they win their first game of the season the next day after a handful of losses, they're convinced that what happened in the bathroom had something to do with it.

I loved how sweet and touching Quinton's journey of discovering his bisexuality was and how utterly romantic these two were when they were together. The transition to rivals with benefits to something more was done smoothy too, it didn’t feel rushed.If you want something lighthearted, sweet and a potential comfort read with lots (LOTS) of spice, this is ur book. Some points/aspects I disliked from the story are a few and to be honest, I may sound petty but wanted this to be better than it was, after reading all those 5 and 4 stars 🌟 reviews. This trend nowadays of reducing the storyline and plot content/development and increasing sexual content at every page , it's becoming unattractive and gives the impression of a story poorly written, retorted to sex as filler, not a good idea and a positive action.

Recommend it for a light and quirky read, enternraing, but I would not reread it and not the best book either. Oakley doesn’t think there is any sustenance in his way of thinking, so in the beginning he doesn’t go along with this idea. I feel the heat of his skin through my shirt, and once his fingers have passed any specific spot, goosebumps are left in their wake. Somehow fate has them ending up at the same university and on the same hockey team, a sport which they both love no matter how much they "hate" each other that is the one thing they seem to have in common.The only bone I have to pick is how Quinton’s stubbornness has him placing blame on Oakley for essentially not being a mind reader. He’s just the snarky, dark haired blue eyed bad boy who hides his hurt beneath a smirk that I’m a total sucker for!
