Description

Effects include modulation, filter, pitch shift, distortion, delay and reverb. Most are generic, but some, particularly in the overdrive/distortion category, are modelled on well-known devices - the Big Muff and TS-808, for example. I was not overly impressed with the amp sims - but I'm usually a straight into a tube amp kind of guy and I wont be using the amps except for giggles. They sure are not tubes. You can run battery or a plug and though it doesn't say anywhere - you can also power it directly from the USB port which is handy for small desktop studios.

AC adapter: 9V DC 500mA center negative (ZOOM AD-16) 2 AA batteries (alkaline, lithium or rechargeable NiMH batteries) This hits the spot in ways most multi effects units fall short. I love the interface, really intuitive - I felt like I had mastered it in about 3 minutes. I think the way they have it set up as a virtual pedalboard is genius. I needed a reverb unit for my old solid state practice amp - so dry! This was cheaper than a dedicated reverb, surprisingly, so I gave it a go. Switching between effects has never been easier. The MS-50G+ MultiStomp Pedal features cross-key switches that allow you to seamlessly transition from one effect to another with a simple tap of your foot. This intuitive design ensures that you can focus on your performance without any distractions. Whether you need to change from a heavy drive to a lush reverb or add a touch of modulation to your sound, the cross-key switches provide instant and effortless access to your desired effects. Sculpt your sound with four encoder knobs

Control

Rounding off the feature list, holding the footswitch down calls up an automatic chromatic tuner that can be switched to recognise several altered tunings. Alternatively, you can set the footswitch up for tap tempo. There's also a USB connection for firmware updates, which should ensure that the MS-50G stays current. Sounds When it comes to performing live, durability is essential. The Zoom MS-50G+ MultiStomp Pedal is built to withstand the harsh conditions of the road with its sturdy metal frame. Designed with ruggedness in mind, this pedal is ready for the demands of gigging musicians. No need to worry about accidental drops or rough handling – the MS-50G+ is built to last, ensuring your effects are always at your fingertips when you need them most. Cross key switches for seamless transitions The predecessor, the Zoom MS-50G, has enjoyed great popularity as a compact and affordable multi-effect since its release over ten years ago. Although not necessarily famous for the most realistic sound and the most detailed emulations. It did cram a lot into one compact stompbox.

The MS-50G's cutting-edge DSP microchip performs 32-bit floating-point calculations, giving it the ability to create sophisticated studio-quality effects such as the 29 rich, dense reverbs and realistic spatial simulations found here. These allow you to place your guitar in natural-sounding spaces such as rooms and halls or to add delays of up to 4 seconds. There are 25 types of delays available for MS-50G. Also included are reverb plates and springs and a tape delay simulator, as well as reverse, modulated, and self-oscillating delays. Key Features The cutting-edge ZFX-IV DSP processor can execute sophisticated algorithms using 32-bit floating-point calculations. A sigmoid curve clipper helps create the smoothly clipped waveform characteristics of tubes, providing the most realistic modelling sounds and richest harmonic components to date. The MS-50G's 32 boosters, overdrives, and fuzz tones include simulations of the BOSS OD-1, DS-1, and Metal Zone, as well as the Ibanez TS808, MXR Distortion+, Matchless Hot Box, Electro-Harmonix Big Muff, and Pro Co Rat. Our ExtremeDS effect offers the most powerful gain of any distortion effect in the world, and there's even a simulator that allows your electric guitar to sound like an acoustic. Amp From a practical perspective, Zoom has kept the appearance of the MS-50G+ decidedly retro, but there are some tweaks that should make its myriad effects types easier to navigate. It's much better than I hoped for (I have owned zoom in the past without much love). The construction is as solid as you'd like and the audio output is, for the most part, very usable.

Use the Tap Tempo feature to set the tempo in real-time to the rhythm of a song as you play guitar. You can also use it to for delay times and modulation effect frequencies. Cut down the size of your pedalboard by adding in MS-50G to the mix. From a single pedal, you’ll have 55 effects types waiting at your feet to be called-up no matter have often you need them. Using two AA alkaline batteries, you can operate the MS-50G for up to 7 hours continuously. From rehearsal to the main stage, you can use the MS-50G with confidence. Power the pedal via AC adapter (sold separately) or USB bus, if you want to use it longer without worrying about battery life.

The MS-50G comes pre-loaded with 100 great-sounding effects that let you cut down the size of your pedalboard.

THE GUITAR PEDAL REDEFINED

The MS-50G+ features our latest Drives, Modulations, Delays, Reverbs, Compressors, Filters, and Special Effects. You can choose from classic effect emulations to Zoom originals, including preamps that are developed with our Multi-Layer IR technology. Stereo Outputs

You'll find 39 different modulation and special effects here, all specially crafted for guitar. These include phasing, flanging, chorusing, tremolo, vibrato, detuning, octave dividing, and pitch shifting—even an intelligent harmonizer that plays along in key. Vintage sounds include simulations of the Boss CH-1 Super Chorus and ADA flanger. Delay / Reverb Each amp or effect has editable parameters displayed three at a time on the screen and adjusted with the three knobs"I use it with a Whirlwind and plug it directly into a XLR into the board. Almost always clean, I use use a Fender Twin type preamp, (NOT into the front of my amps, just into the Whirlwind) one of the various reverbs (but usually Spring), and tremolo. I set it up to where I can footswitch the tremolo on and off, but I can also make a couple patches and cycle through them. I usually don't bother since all I really need is one core tone for most of my sets. While almost all of the presets are totally goofy (you can delete them all thankfully) and small handful of the effects are equally ridiculous, all of the meat-and-potatoes stuff sounds excellent. Thanks to the editor, you can choose which effects you want stored on the pedal, so you can delete those cheesy ones you hate and never have to scroll past them again. I was really impressed with their emulations of a Boss OD-1/SD-1 (Overdrive) and an Ibanez TS-808 (TS Drive). Sample effects include the Velvet Drive, which balances the dynamic output between wound and plain strings; SwellVibe, which adds modulation only to your sustained sound; and Geminos, an effect that overdubs the dry signal three times and introduces a random organic texture. Four control knobs allow users to change effect parameters, and the layout will be familiar to anyone that has used the previous version of the pedal. USB: Port: USB 2.0 Type-C/Supported cable type: Type-C Handy Guitar Lab: USB1.1 Full Speed, Use a USB cable that supports data transfer. USB bus power is supported.
