Description

Coming with Intel Core i7, the ONEXPLAYER 1S Processor is an 11th generation Intel Processor with 4 Real Cores and 8 Threads. The processor can boost up to 4.50 Ghz. This announcement comes hot off the heels of the recently released AMD variant of the OneXPlayer. But curiously, it features the same intel processor as seen in the OneXPlayer 1S (the i7-1195G7). While streaming YouTube videos, for example, I was able to get around 7 to 10 hours of battery life. The 8.4″ Display is also a touch-screen with 10 points of recognition and is compatible with the One Netbook Stylus. Controls and Immersion

But there are some down sides to the ONEXPLAYER’s large body. Weighing about 1.8 pounds, it’s heavier than the Neo (1.5 pounds) or Win 3 (1.2 pounds). And the ONEXPLAYER is about twice as heavy as a Nintendo Switch (0.9 pounds with the Joy-con controllers attached). So as you can see from the results there is a mix of highest scores between the GPD Win MAX 2021 and ONEXPLAYER 1S, with the GPD Win 3 scores working out on average between the handheld PC’s. The OneXPlayer 1S is One-Netbook‘s attempt at joining the handheld gaming PC market. While like the GPD WIN 3 and AYA NEO in concept, the main draw of the OneXPlayer is it’s large, high-resolution display. One Netbook offers an optional keyboard accessory for the ONEXPLAYER. The company didn’t send me one, so I haven’t tested it, but the keyboard is designed to magnetically attach to a set of pogo pins on the bottom of the computer and seems to be a soft keyboard that will function sort of like a Microsoft Surface keyboard. In the middle are two USB 4.0 Type-C ports, these can be used for charging the handheld and high speed data transfer. You can also connect it to an external eGPU graphics card, or connect to a hub with video output to a TV or monitor for example.Forza Horizon 4 showed that it isn't just about the framerate though, as there were glitches in the game regardless of the settings used. You'll also struggle to get some games running smoothly no matter how much you try tweaking them—Cyberpunk 2077 for instance did not make for a good experience, even at lower resolutions and graphical settings. The main difference is the default TDP. The Win 3 and ONEXPLAYER have a default of 20 Watts, and the MAX 2021 has 22 Watts. This does mean that the MAX will run faster but also uses a little more battery. You can of course increase the TDP on the other two devices to match or even go higher.

For the gaming benchmarks we are running each game at the same graphics settings and resolution to ensure a more accurate comparison. The GPD Win MAX and Win 3 run at 1280×800 and 1280×720 respectively, while the ONEXPLAYER’s native 2560×1600 is far higher and uses more resources. Forza Horizon 4

Can I use it as a desktop computer?

Thanks for reading this far! Do you have any games in particular that fit the OneXPlayer well? Let us know in the comments! One thing you might expect from a laptop in 2021 is missing though – the ONEXPLAYER does not have a webcam. So if you plan to use this little computer for video calls, web conferencing, or live streaming, you’re going to need to connect a USB camera. You can buy RGTA V on Steam and the Microsoft Store. 4. Forza Horizon 4 Forza Horizon 4 features hundreds of cars for you to tear across the British countryside with.

On the flip side of that coin, it is possible to drain the battery in less than two hours. My results from running the Heaven benchmark give us a worst-case scenario, since the utility is designed to max out system resources indefinitely. I wouldn't recommend for everyone as there is a bit of legwork required to get some games working on this, but when you do it's a great experience. You can buy Monster Hunter World (and it’s Iceborne expansion) from the Steam Store at the time of writing. 2. Red Dead Redemption 2 While Red Dead Redemption 2 on the Switch is unlikely, the OneXPlayer is a good alternative. Yeah, that’s kind of my thinking here. Not everyone is going to want to spend laptop-like pricing on a device that’s really designed just for gaming. But it’s hard to argue that the hardware isn’t worth that price since that’s what laptops with similar specs often sell for. On 20W TDP we get a score of 5,228, and on 35W we get a score of 5,564. We were not able to run the 3D graphics score as our hub with HDMI output was having issues, and PassMark does not support 1920×1200 resolution. PCMark

Let’s take a look at the specs, pricing, and configuration options and then I’ll get into more specifics about the ONEXPLAYER’s design and performance. Specs ONEXPLAYER specs
