The easiest way to explain the difference between night and day is to use the sun and moon, and we thought it would be great to have a bedtime story book that helps explain the benefits of sleep. N seems to be a bit better but we would like to nip it in the bud before he gets to J’s age and is still having sleep and bed time issues which is a nightmare to deal with every night with one child, let alone two. We have been using a Gro Clock from The Gro Company for about 3 weeks now and it’s probably a little early for a comprehensive review but I’ve been so impressed with it that I wanted to share our experience with you.When the child goes to bed the clock turns blue and a star face appears to indicate that it’s night time, and gradually the stars around the edge disappear, indicating the hours and counting down to morning time when the clock turns orange and the sun face appears again, meaning it’s time to get up. There are so many factors that effect kids sleep that it's impossible to analyse them all, but there are definitely a few things that have helped Ethan, and I'm really hoping that they help Ivy as well. Other parents use the intercom on their baby monitor to tell their kids they have to wait for the sun. We love our Gro Clock, Boo loves to say goodnight to the sun each night and tell me that the stars are sleeping – hopefully in a little while she will start to ‘get’ that she needs to stay in bed until it changes to the sun again!
