His teacher helps him to understand that 'there is a time and a place for everything', and although it is great to be yourself, you still have to be considerate to your friends and classmates around you.

It has been some time since we first met Lark the Shark, written by Natalie Newman and her son Henry. I didn't like the type face used inside the book - it was hard to read and didn't fit the style pf the art. I was hoping the rhyme at the end of the story was shorter, something children could memorize to use for themselves. I must confess that I actually watched this as a video on YouTube, mainly because Chris Pine was reading it!

Clark the Shark is a great read-aloud picture book, with fun rhythm and rhyme, from the ever-popular Bruce Hale and Guy Francis. His teacher miss Inkydink puts "Stay cool" into Clark's mind when Clark asks what he is doing wrong. Overall, Clark is an inspiring and relatable character that can help students learn important coping skills to help with adapting in school. The book is about a Shark named Clark who attends school with other fish, including his best friend, Joey the Mackerel.

I think I must not be a Clark the Shark person, because I tend to find the stories lackluster, if not annoying. The teacher shows Clark a better way to enjoy what he likes while also keeping his excitement under control. Unfortunately, although he always meant well, his hyperactivity and thoughtlessness often resulted in the other pupils avoiding him at lunchtime and recess.

I enjoyed how the book was about animal characters and not real people; it helps kids to see themselves without making the main character look a specific way.

Clark the Shark is having a sleepover, and it's the first time him and his friends will sleep outside in the dark. I gave this book rating a 4 because l think it over all is a good book, and it teaches you a lesson and not all books do that, so l thinks that the lesson l learned was that you might be really excited about it things and love things so much, but even though things might seem exciting, try to remember to stay cool 😎.Bruce's recent Monstertown Mysteries series blends horror and humor, based on his childhood love of monster movies. Other ideas for English, could be freeze frames in drama for the chaotic behaviour of Clark and his resolve, or classroom rules brainstormed together for display. I instantly smile at the cover, seeing a shark fit in a school desk and wear a small cap on his head.
