Brie stores really well! If you have leftovers, cover with plastic wrap or place in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for 5-7 days. Because not only is it super fun and incredibly tasty, but it’s also ridiculously easy! Seriously. It doesn’t get easier than this. Whether you make it as a Thanksgiving side or as an appetizer for Christmas or New Year’s Eve parties, it will be ooh’ed and ahh’ed over and devoured.Salty, tart-yet-sweet, and of course melted cheese is irresistible. Bake for 15 minutes! To test whether it’s done, touch your finger in the middle of the brie. It should feel like it’s completely liquid in the center. Baked Brie is best when it's baked as close to serving time as possible. It's not something you want to bake ahead of time and reheat because the pastry will get soggy. However, you can assemble the Brie as described in Steps 2 through 4 but leave off the maple syrup and brown sugar.

However the recipe is intriguing and I’m sure would be delicious, making a great centrepiece for a party platter as well as a fantastic way to get people who don’t know one another at a dinner party to become firm friends very fast as they politely squabble over the last delicious morsel: no-one surely can stay stand-offish while dealing with gooey molten cheese dripping from their fingers! Baked brie recipe is one of the best easy appetizers around! Bake it in 15 minutes and add your favorite toppings for a total crowd pleaser.Over baking can cause leaking/a side to collapse in the oven. It’s still tasty and edible but do remove from the oven asap. How long it stays gooey– in a ceramic dish, it will stay scoopable for a good 15 minutes or so. On paper, around 10 minutes, then for another 10 minutes or so you can smear it on with a knife.

Then top it with roughly chopped pecans, pomegranate seeds and pour over maple syrup. And that’s it!

That's it! No puff pastry or crescent roll dough, no difficulty instructions - just baked brie, some delicious toppings, and a fun appetizer for literally any occasion. Mix more jam or honey with your prepared toppings of choice, then pile the toppings onto the brie wheel. Brie – You can use a 16 ounce wheel of brie or an 8 ounce wheel of brie. The large wheel of brie will not fit completely into the pie crust, but it will still work just fine!

Gooey, melty baked brie has to be one of the most delicious appetizers you can make! It’s perfect for your next party and it’s always a huge hit with everyone. This cheesy beauty just takes 2 minutes to prepare – what’s not to love?

Change up the toppings to your liking. If fig jam is not available to you, you can use honey, apricot jam, or orange marmalade. I like walnut hearts and pistachios here, but you can also change those up using pecans, almonds, or other nuts you like. Same with the dried figs, other dry fruit like apricots, cranberries or raisins will work. If you need to make this recipe, but are extra short on time, here are a few ideas that can help make this recipe even faster! Fresh sage. Fresh thyme or rosemary will also work. Fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary are also good options. All my recipes are at least triple tested to make sure they work and I take pride in keeping them as accurate as possible. Change up the dried fruit by using raisins, dates, or apricots. If the dried fruit is big, chop it up into smaller chunks.Pro tip: Mix the nuts and dried fruit with a bit of the jam (or honey) to coat them before baking. This prevents them from drying out in the oven. Brie rind is edible, and it actually adds nuance and complexity of flavor. In this baked brie recipe, I do not remove the rind because I need the surface to spread my jam and to add my beautiful nuts and toppings.
