The new store, at Unit 2A Great Northern Retail Park, Leeds Road, was formerly occupied by Mothercare. With wide aisles and belted tills, the Great Northern Retail Park store has been designed to give Poundland customers maximum convenience. It will employ 28 staff with 14 colleagues transferring from the New Street store in Huddersfield town centre which will close on Friday, 26 November because the lease has expired.
