Early on, this did have a nice scene I wasn’t expecting (since I don’t look up spoilers) featuring David Bradley, (as the First Doctor), and then Colin Baker, Peter Davison, Paul McGann and Sylvester McCoy as their respective Doctors. A shame there was no Tom Baker. I didn’t realise Bradley Walsh was returning, either. Nor Jo Martin‘s Doctor (does she have a name other than The Doctor? Then again, her role never made any sense). I didn’t have any idea what’s going on, and it felt like neither did Chris Chibnall. Doctor Who: The Series 13 Specials Steelbook. Cover by Sophie Cowdrey (c) BBC Studios Doctor Who: The Series 13 Specials Steelbook But, about the child, was I not paying attention, or after floating about a bit, did she never feature again? Or was she that swirly thing from Yars’ Revenge?

The Power of the Doctor is the 2022 Centenary Special for the current Doctor Who incumbent, Jodie Whittaker, and it sees the Cybermen return, yet again… yawn. Either way, an hour in, and I still felt like I was waiting for the plot to start. In fact, given how the Master’s long beard was likened to Rasputin, the only enjoyable moment of the episode was hearing a bit of that Boney M song. Doctor Who The Series 13 Specials (Blu-ray Steelbook) consists of the three specials that have aired on TV in 2022. The Steelbook includes bespoke never seen before artwork of the Thirteenth Doctor’s final adventures. The Power of the Doctor (DVD & Blu-ray) sees the Thirteenth Doctor take on her deadliest enemies in her final battle. The DVD and Blu-ray includes bonus materials: Doctor Who: The Power of the Doctor Blu-ray (c) BBC Studios Doctor Who: The Power of the Doctor (DVD & Blu-ray)Jodie Whittaker’s final three episodes as The Doctor will be available for fans to add to their collections this November. This time, on an even more futuristic-loking Snowpiercer-type of train. Oh,and they’re not Cybermen, but CyberMasters. Surely, with all the wokeness around, they should be CyberNonBinary? But never mind a plot, since we saw the return of Sophie Alfred as Ace, even though I never saw her Doctor Who episodes, with Sylvester McCoy, since I gave up early on into Colin Baker’s era. However, I remember Janet Fielding as Tegan, and her time with Peter Davison. And, that last moment with zero atmosphere between Jodie and Yaz (and not just because the were sat in deep space)… The Power of the Doctor (DVD & Blu-ray) sees the Thirteenth Doctor take on her deadliest enemies in her final battle. Her final battle. Her deadliest enemies. The Doctor faces multiple threats from Daleks, Cybermen and the Master, in a fight for her very existence.Oh, and after the late explosion of the UNIT building with bad dust CGI, it was ridiculous that they let it all blow in their face without covering their faces like normal people would do. Plus, the pretend ‘dusting off’ their clothes, which had no dust on them. The Doctor, Yaz and Dan come face to fin with some of the Doctor’s oldest adversaries, the Sea Devils. What terrifying forces lurk beneath the oceans of the 19th century? The Power of the Doctor Fans have two options to commemorate the Thirteenth Doctor’s final battles. A standalone release of the regeneration episode, The Power of the Doctor will be available on DVD and Blu-ray, or alternatively a limited-edition Blu-ray Steelbook made up of the three Series 13 specials, Eve of the Daleks, Legend of the Sea Devils and The Power of the Doctor.
