use a screwdriver to push out the wheels there are 2 - one on each side, keep these somewhere safe. The second filter is found in the lid of the duct container. First remove the container from the product by lifting the release catch on top as shown here. Outside of a Rainbow, I have yet had a found a vacuum that I truly Love. And if we could have gotten a Rainbow (again, problematic due to laminate flooring, any wet equals ruin) we would have even with the cost factor. However, weight again is a huge consideration and again, having to drag a canister behind, isn't what was needed. When you go to buy the Hoover Whirlwind SE71, you should be asking yourself if it will be able to do what you need it to in your home – can it reach the corners, will it do a good job on carpets? Is it in the right price range? Worth every penny! If I were to recommend any vacuum it would be a Hoover always but now it would probably be this model since we can't get the old one I had that again was made of metal and was like a tank! Be nice if they would update those older ones with the new technology maiden medal it would be worth its money and its the only 1 I could recommend above this

To open the box so that it can be emptied and to also clean the hepa filter twist the lid until the 2 arrows line up, then the lid will come off. We have laminate flooring which is difficult at best and close to impossible to keep clean. It can't use beaters and even the wheels can cause floor scuffing. Don't get on me about getting the floors actually "clean" since you can't use water on them. If we had known, well hindsight is more 20/20 then prior. And when you have throw rugs down, even room size rugs are problematic because NO BEATERS can hit the flooring but required on the rugs to remove dirt, and my husband has severe eczema that runs in his family; he literally "snows" with skin. To get the best suction power and prevent your cleaner overheating and cutting out we recommend that you keep your filters and dust box clean. Remove the dust box from the cleaner by pressing the release catch next to the handle. Place it over your dust bin or a bin bagand open the dust release flap.

It's a bit confusing with all the tools having to be put certain places on the machine where it doesn't seem it should go So when you go to put it away there is no stress with regards to finding a space for it to slot into. Plus, the cord rewinds itself at the simple press of a button, making things a little easier for you. To keep the cleaner working efficiently and effectively the filters will need to be cleaned regularly. There are 2 filters on the cleaner the first of which is inside the dust box. Start by removing the dust container from the product by pressing the release button on the top of the container, place over your dust bin or bin bag and press the catch on the bottom of the container that will open the flap and allow the dust to escape. Give the container a shake to help release all of the dust and dirt. Lift the filter off and dust outor wash in warm water to get it really clean. The cyclone unit inside the dust box can be removed by pulling it out with the lifting hook and can be washed out under some warm water.

Equally strange is the “Max” line level on the side of the bin, which – if followed to the letter of the instruction manual – would give you the actual bin capacity of a small tea cup. During testing, we filled it way past this level (as most people will) without major loss of suction, so take that Max level as a guide. Take the dust container to your dustbin, hold it over the bin and press the container empty button at the bottom and the flap will open shake to remove all the debris. The funky red bin has a respectable 1.5-litre capacity and lifts cleanly out of the main body for emptying. Well, eventually. This is a great vacuum cleaner for those who need something small and compact to fit in their home. It delivers a surprising level of power that is sure to give your home a thorough clean. The tubes bring a touch of class to this affordable cleaner. They’re a metallic-painted steel and telescopic, with a clip release and several ratchet points so you can achieve a variety of lengths. This is a better piece than the simple push-fit chrome steel tubes often found at this price, and proper sleeved ferrules at either end ensure tool attachment and removal is far easier too. This thing is compact. That applies not only to the Hoover Whirlwind SE71 cleaner itself, but equally to the tool and accessory count. In the box you’ll find a hose, tubes and just two tools: a small multi-purpose carpet and hard-floor head, and the ubiquitous (among cheap cylinder cleaners) microscopic combined crevice and brush tool.
