Danny is a friendly, active, and intelligent dog. He and Jonathan share an inseparable bond, frequently playing and training together. With a change of heart and morale restored, Dusty becomes determined to win the race but Ripslinger still won't give up and plots to sabotage his chances of winning. He and his goons almost manage to take out Dusty, but Skipper, who overcome his guilt, intervenes and takes on Ripslinger while Dusty and our heroes manage to stop Ned and Zed. Ripslinger takes out Skipper's tailwing, but Skipper tells Dusty, Danny and the others to continue on and that he (Skipper) is okay. When trying to catch up with Ripslinger and with Danny and the rest of our heroes right by his side and telling him that he can do it, Dusty conquers his fear of heights when his engine starts losing power, forcing him and our heroes to ride the Jetstream. George Joestar I bought Danny when he was a puppy when Jonathan was five years old. Danny was very afraid of unfamiliar places and strange people causing him to bite Jonathan when the young boy first approached him. For a while, Jonathan also antagonized Danny by throwing stones at him. One day, while swimming in a river, Jonathan started drowning and was saved by Danny, which made them the best of friends. During their stay, they discover the existence of a long-forgotten castle inhabited by not only enchanted objects, but also a powerful and frightening Beast.
