this was perfect. i loved it!! i had missed these characters so much. it was so great to finally catch up with Wyn and Danny again.🥺🥰 So, the story starts with our favourite Soul Eater falling into an existencial crisis about Danny's mortality and the aftermath. Hence, he decides (with Danny's consent) to go through the tear and tether their lives at the Caen an Sin (monster world). This fact will give rise to a marvelous journey full of love and sexy times ♥️ 🌶️ Danny (23) ✦ — He despises being in the military and doesn’t feel like he fits there. He has no family left and he hasn’t had one single friend in his life but the last thing he would ever want to do is hurt someone. Danny has had a tough life but he’s still hopeful and optimistic despite the circumstances. He’s fiercely brave but he still has his own insecurities. He’s a character who is easy to adore and cherish. I’d do anything for him if someone hurt him (and so would Wyn). when the Soul Eater arrogantly announced that Danny was different to all other humans - he had to be, of course he did, because he was the only person Wyn had ever loved and that automatically made him superior That’s fine with me,” he told me, voice low as he pulled me down to get to my mouth. “I want you all the time, Danny Sullivan.” His nose nudged mine. “My sweet human,” he murmured.The beginning of this book is great. It’s dark, intriguing, and compelling, but then it just becomes a boring and purposeless sex fest. GHOST AND AURY TAKE A TRIP was such a delightful read because I love these two so much! I adored how playful Aury was in this one as he surprises Ghost with a little cabin just for them to get away from the camp and spend time alone. This was sexy and sweet and a great moment between these two. Btw, just in case you’re put off by Wyn’s ‘serial killer’ vibe … there are reasons for Wyn’s actions. That’s all I can say! A Gloam and Rig bonus short! GLOAM WORSHIPS HIS HARDWORKING FIREBRAND was so sweet -- and of course steamy. I loved seeing Gloam and Rig interacting with Seraph and Lilac and the friendship they've created was so sweet. After a hard day of setting up the fence for a vegetable patch, Gloam spends the night taking Rig apart in the most delicious ways. Love these two!

It's a short, 20k novella, which of course Lily Mayne uses that short length to make us completely fall in love with Jamie, our human, and Ruke, our monster. I wrapped my arms around his waist, pulling him tighter to me. “You were always meant to meet me. You’re mine.” (｡’▽’｡)♡You know if I tell anyone all the sweet shit you say to me, no one’s gonna be scared of you anymore.❞ anyways these two are joined, tethered and basically MARRIED now. the fact that they’ll be able to spend their entire lives together makes me deliriously happy.🥰

Absolutely wonderful new short where Lor and Jugs, our wonderful and beautiful couple from Monstrous #7, are settling into their *very* hard earned happily ever after. Revisit the Monstrous couples from the first seven novels of the series in this collection of sixteen short stories. Plus, meet a new Monstrous couple in a brand new 20k-word novella, Ruke. When a strange woman shows up outside our camp in the Wastes with monsters chained up to her RV, it feels like I’m the only one who actually wants to help them. Ok so the Monstrous series is one of my faves. Lily Mayne has created some fantastic characters, highly recommend the entire series. Danny and Wyn are probably my favorite couple too. I burst out laughing, happiness filling every inch of me, every cell, until it felt like I would burst. I shoved at his chest. “Because no one can know Wyn the Soul Eater has a heart?” He leaned in and nuzzled my face, his cool lips brushing my mouth. “Exactly,” he murmured,"Throughly enjoyed this the second time round. So much fun and such imagination! And Wyn…. I think he is still my favourite monster. He is just such a softie under that grumpy facade and dark hood! i would still worry over him, but at least it wouldn’t be a constant, pressing fear that the smallest injury could get infected and kill him.” He reminded me of Wesley from The Princess Bride, I wouldn’t have been surprised if he uttered those words; as you wish.
