In my Howard's Way obsession, I am watching the entire series again (4th time) and I am trying to locate certain locations for filming. As an aside, I used to sail quite a bit from Southampton so a lot of the locations are very familiar as we would come up the Hamble river and moor up outside the Jolly Sailor for a pint. What I can remember well is a scene where Jan is in her car and is in hot pursuit of somebody, lol, and it being really dramatic.It might be an idea trying to watch on catch ups where adverts are cut out but on Sky catch up where they do cut adverts on Drama's catchup programmes, the amount of episodes could be limited in the amount available. With plenty of heart, a picturesque setting, and a cast that utterly charms, the show delivers drama both comforting and entertaining.

I have ended up with about ten episodes of HW on my Sky+ (including loads of repeats and multiple recordings!Always watched it on a sunday night before getting my bag ready for school for the following morning. They would still pull the occasional rabbit out of the hat – Maigret (surprisingly dull) or Give Us A Clue (surprisingly addictive) – but I didn’t find this too bad a thing as it allowed me to mop up most of my wanted titles from their back catalogue.Set in a super rich community in Tarrant, on the boat yard this is a story of consumption and yuppies at their 80's best. If only the copyright owners of old stuff could make an officail YouTube channel for their “content”, but that seems to be too much faff for too little revenue. It would appear someone has uploaded countless episodes of the Australian soap Sons And Daughters (not that this is drivel) and they have survived up on YouTube for many years.
