Description

As for performance, this cordless combi drill uses Bosch’s advanced Syneon Chip technology that intelligently controls energy usage for each project to give you extended runtimes. This energy powers 20 pre-selectable torque of 38Nm, an impact rate of 20.250 BPM and a speed of 1350 RPM enough to see you through applications like drilling, screwdriving, impact drilling in wood metal and even masonry. It also provides you with adequate lighting as you go about with your duties in the dark or poorly lit areas like in the basement. It’s very efficient for someone with DIY projects. When other cordless drills suffer from drill bits getting loose during drilling, the Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 cordless combi drill maintains its workrate even in the toughest of materials. What we liked These clever Power for All batteries can push the business end of the drill to a maximum drilling speed of 1,350 rpm. It’s not class-leading but it’s fast enough for most jobs. In hammer mode, you get a maximum of 20,250 bpm, which is the slowest of all the combi drills I’ve tested and reviewed. The 38 Newton metres of torque it puts out isn’t beating any of the bigger name brands on the list either. SInce the power drill acts as both a drill and driver, it’s a great addition for people looking to eliminate bulkiness that comes with a lot of tools and increasing efficiency at work. Though its an 18V rechargeable power tool, this drill/driver continuously delivers powerful speeds and power to see you through a wide range of tasks. The Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 runs on a Bosch 18v PowerForAll lithium-ion battery, meaning it shares battery compatibility not only with other Bosch 18v Home & Garden (Green) cordless tools, but also with other tools from other manufacturers who have recently become part of the Power For All 18v Alliance, including Gardena, Wagner and Rapid.

Drilling diameter max (wood) – 30mm, Drilling diameter max (steel)-10mm, Drilling diameter max (masonry) – 10mm Could be more powerful – Pretty good for handling the light task. For the heavy task, this is not the one you should be looking at.

However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You get a decent case and two batteries to play with. These two Power Alliance batteries can fuel a range of tools by different brands, which is remarkable in the age of proprietary systems. It’s a good place to start as long as you don’t expect this cordless drill to perform like one of Bosch’s Professional level tools. There’s plenty of control when it comes to torque settings on this cordless drill. Bosch have called it ScrewControl, but it’s the same principle. You get 20 different settings that control how much power you can put into a screw, to help save the surface of delicate materials you’re working on. The Bosch PSB 1800 is one of our favorite cordless drills. It is also one of the most popular among customers. This will really help you out in your DIY home projects and light-handed tasks. The PSB 1800 has 20 different pre-selectable torque settings and 2-speed gearbox along with drill and impact drill settings. You have optimal power and settings for every situation. The Bosch Drills comes with two years of product warranty but here’s a plus point, when you activate the warranty online you get an additional one year of warranty. So overall you get three years of warranty with this product.

The Power and battery are not strong enough as compared to competitors in the same range. It is good enough for easy tasks but it won’t handle heavy tasks because it cannot draw such amount of power. The competitors were much better in terms of power and battery. Powerful lithium-ion battery and 1-hour charger, for use with all DIY and garden tools in the Bosch 18 volt system One of the big power tool brands, especially in the UK, Bosch have a decent slice of the market with their two broad levels of equipment. Their “blue” professional tools and “green” DIY tools vary massively in their capabilities as well as cost. I think it’s fair to say that the PSB 1800 fits squarely in the green DIY camp. But still In case you need more power then you can also try the PSB 18 LI-2, also from Bosch. It comes with great additional features and some improvement from the PSB 1800 If anything, the grip is a little on the small side. I’ve got large hands, and the bottom of my palm started rubbing on the battery release button surround almost immediately. I don’t know how comfortable this will be over time, and I don’t think it would be great to use with gloves on. This drill is lightweight, easy to use, efficient and powerful for DIY projects around the house as well as small applications like mounting your TV or a portrait on the wall. It also has more torque to offer than its alternatives. We would recommend it over the res. However, if you want something that can handle heavy-duty applications like concrete, then the Bosch Cordless Hammer Drill ideal too. The PSB 1800 LI-2 lithium-ion two-speed combi from Bosch is suitable for drilling in wood (3 cm diameter), metal (1 cm diameter) and masonry (1 cm diameter) and can also be used as a screwdriver on these materials. It is conveniently cordless and always ready to use thanks to the lithium-ion technology and a 60 minute battery life. As the appliance is compact and weighs a light 1.3 kg, it is comfortable to use and won't cause your arm to ache after a few minutes. The softgrip also plays a part in making sure the drill is convenient to use.

Bosch also has an accessory set for the drills. The set comes with a 91 piece set with bits and screwdrivers. It has 11 metal bits, 11 masonry bits, and 8 wood drills. The Accessory set is only half the price of the drill and If you already don’t have a bit and screwdriver set then this is the must-buy an accessory for the Bosch PSB 1800 Cordless Drill. Bosch PSB 1800 Combo Offer Read More: Top 10 Fast Growing Climbers – Most Vigorous & evergreen What we didn’t like about Bosch PSB 1800 The same battery and charger set you get with this cordless drill will work in a range of cordless tools from trusted tool brands including Flymo and Gardena. It’s something I’d like to see more tool brands get involved with, in my opinion. One of its unique features is that it works as both an electric drill and a screwdriver. As a user, you don’t want to have to use two different tools when doing a single task. A combination of the two puts both’s power in your hands making it easier, lighter and faster to manoeuvre around the working area. Also, you get to save on costs with the combination since the tool comes at a reasonable pricing point.

It’s great that Bosch have included a charge level indicator on the base of this drill. It takes the guesswork out of knowing how much juice is left. It’s something that Ryobi could take on board. Right in front of the indicator is the LED work light. It’s reasonably powerful but turns off as soon as you let go of the trigger. You can, just about, run the light without turning the drill on as well, which is nice. The overall feeling I got from this cordless drill is that it’s all a bit underwhelming. The design is unremarkable, and the grip isn’t the best. There are a couple of little features like the direction indicator that look good but don’t add to the performance. The drill isn’t very responsive, and the uninspiring drilling speed makes for slow work.
