this book told me about paper types that I’ve never heard of before. I was searching the internet for different suppliers, looking for various types. The book also contains useful suppliers and source lists, full size templates, metric conversion chart, and links to online paper-arts groups and other resources. Overall, this was a delightful introduction to papercraft, and I enjoyed reading it! I would recommend it to anyone looking to get into papercraft, and for any library craft sections. Some of the projects would also work well for library programming for children, adults, or teens. I am impressed by the organization and clear instructions in The Art of Papercraft. The end of the book has a dictionary of terms, bibliography and extensive list of resources as well as templates for projects. The Art of Papercraft will inspire crafters, dabblers, and paper afficionados of all ages.

The Art of Papercraft" is wonderful if you're looking for new ideas and inspiration about what you can do with paper. While Helen Hiebert is the one who put the book together, the projects inside were created by many artists worldwide, ranging from young voices to established professionals, each of them introducing a project created using their preferred techniques. I've engaged in papercrafts my whole life and have tried most of the techniques described, but even so there were a few new ones for me (eg studs, fasteners and eyelets). I skimmed through some parts and examined others in detail. The section on bendable paper using wire supports was very interesting, and who can't resist pop-ups and origami? As a child I recall going to a paper mill in the Cheddar Gorge area and seeing how the fibres come together, so knew this book 'The Art of Papercraft' would be interesting to review.

I enjoyed perusing through her ideas, carefully looking at the photographs and directions. Some I’ve tried before, some don’t interest me, but some I am excited to try. Artistry is about possibility and this book is full of possibility. This book is full of projects for crafters of all levels, and I look forward to trying out some of these ideas. I thank NetGalley and the publisher, Storey Publishing, LLC for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I gave this book three and a half stars rounded down to three stars.MINI GIFT BOX 5 Turn ihe b&x and 6 Fold the sides in as lif.t.up the srde_~· shown, then fold the top point ínto the centre of the box. There are twenty-two projects in this section, again with photographic and written instructions. The Folding chapter provides eight projects for a variety of ways to fold a piece of paper. Each project comes with written instructions alongside photographs for each of the steps in the written part. It tells you also the size of paper required if any tools are needed or templates.
