In many ways, it feels like the anti-Amouage, or an Amouage for those who normally struggle with the perfume house’s complicated, complex creations. Overall I’m impressed by the complexity of the composition and how certain ingredients work together in perfect synergy to create different accords, however it was not for me as it smelled almost quite generic for an Amouage.

This fragrance with seduce your senses layer by layer, beginning with top notes of orange, Elemi, grapefruit, cardamom and black pepper. Accords / notes detected include: light pepper, clean incense, powdery Amber and buttery orris or santal. I like this sort of creative variation and use of different noses for each new release, it makes for an unpredictability and chaos which seems to be a brand theme. Amouage perfumes are developed according to Christopher Chong's inspirational; brief and formulated by world - recognised, top perfumers in Paris, Grasse, Geneva and New York. That is the essence of Beloved Man, a wholly unisex fragrance that is quite lovely but extremely simple.Elemi oil can be deep, clean and citrusy in profile, while the resin version can be peppered, woody, and a little bit spicy. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). So I don’t think this one will be for me and I definitely won’t be actively seeking it out but, since it’s still Amouage, I’ll try it if/when I get a chance.

Why they chose THIS scent for an exclusive / limited distribution is beyond me; it seems like this one was made for the masses. I tried several masculine offerings from Amouage and, I think, for all of them I liked their feminine counterpart more. not in the same vein but if you really dig those you are almost guaranteed to think Beloved is insanely good. Beloved for Man is a woody spicy oriental fragrance with top notes of black pepper and cardamom enhanced with rich floral in the heart. Right on the very edge of being feminine at first but it starts to go darker with its spices and wood in short time to take it more masculine.In fact, the way Beloved Man was on my skin reminded me of Amouage‘s beautiful Ubarfor Women, a fragrance that had an equally beautiful lemon custard facet to it.

A nice citrus opening that mellows within 5-10 minutes of application to a wonderful flowery and saffron concoction. Thank God that urinal cake smell doesn't last too long (about 10-15 minutes) and then becomes a old school soapy gentleman fragrance. uk is owned and provided by Health Pharm Leciester Limited a company incorporated in England and Wales under the company number 6072635.More oriental in the tradition of the house but the inspiration is obvious and still covers the same olfactory ground (woody peppery grapefruit that is). Although it's in the drydown where Amouage has a trick up its sleeve and that's the shining point of this perfume for me.
