The pen experience comes with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, and the touchscreen can tell the difference between a pen and a finger, so you can control which does what in key apps like Notes. In fact, with access to apps like Google Docs and Microsoft Word, I’d go so far as to say Onyx’s tablet series is the best option for anyone on the hunt for typing on an e-ink display.

Despite leaning into the tablet format, there are no volume buttons – although you can alter the audio from within the device. Devices with E Ink screens are supposed to last many weeks, although that wasn't our experience with the Note Air 2.
