In a school setting I think this book would be terrific for any child from year 4 onwards, and I can see why Mr Horowitz has become such a big name in getting reluctant readers to pick up a book, as I would heartily recommend it to any pupil who thinks the written word can’t be as exciting as a videogame or film.

Following the main plot events, Nick and Tim finally managed to earn enough money to be able to fly out to Australia to visit at their parents for the first time since they had emigrated there, which was sometime prior to the events of The Falcon's Malteser. The Double Eagle Has Landed (2011): A short story in which the Diamond Brothers are hired to protect a valuable gold coin. But as I grew older (and my original audience entered their twenties) I felt a need to move into adult writing.Nick leaves the hotel owner hanging over the flyover and leaves the hotel, not knowing what happened to him and not really caring. However, even if the readers don’t particularly enjoy this genre, I am almost certain that they will not be able to put this book down due to its amazing storyline. I Never Told You My Name: Beatrice von Falkenberg phones up the brothers' flat, and asks to speak to "Tim Diamond". Tim gets the blame, his wise-cracking younger brother Nick gets the package – and every crook in town is out to get them!

In December 2015, when responding to a fan query on Twitter regarding the plot of the book, Horowitz revealed that the story would be set during the Australian summer, and that it may involve the characters celebrating Christmas in July. His Alex Rider series is one of the most popular children’s book series ever, and the first Alex Rider book, Stormbreaker, became a major Hollywood film. The production was one of the hits of the fringe, playing to over 4,500 people with multiple sell-out houses in the prestigious Pleasance Forth venue and achieving great critical acclaim. With a hodge-podge of clueless clues all leading into deadly danger, it must be a case for the Diamond Brothers… A wickedly funny hardboiled crime spoof from Anthony Horowitz, a master of humour and horror. In The Diamond Brothers in… The French Confection (2002), the Diamond Brothers win a trip to Paris thanks to a French strawberry yoghurt, but accidentally get caught up in a drug smuggling ring and end up being forced to team up with the Sûreté to take them down.Among a lot of double-crossing and deceit typical of any grown-up spy book, the key to open the treasure is found in the bar code of the box, as well as by a number of deductions, Nick figures out the location. Seller has stated it will dispatch the item within 1 working day upon receipt of cleared payment - opens in a new window or tab . After a sleepless night repairing their apartment, they check the mail to find a note left by 'The Fat Man'. The next day – after going to the cinema to see 101 Dalmatians – they find their flat turned over by someone during the day. Anthony lives in central London with his wife Jill Green, a TV producer, and their sons Nicholas and Cassian.

I got this book as a gift from one of my cousins, and it kind of intrigued me about what Maltesers had to do with detective work, and then I started reading it.In The Diamond Brothers in… The Greek Who Stole Christmas (2007), when famous Greek pop singer and movie star Minerva starts receiving anonymous death threats, her concerned husband decides to hire Tim Diamond (along with Nick) to protect her. One thing I really loved about this book, and Anthony Horowitz's writing style, in general, is how nonchalant the characters are after someone dies. He is also the author of the highly acclaimed Diamond Brothers detective stories, as well as the bestselling The Power of Five books, which were inspired by a simple thought. However, there seemed to be dissent even among those ranks, as Beatrice takes out Gott (Himmel having just been killed by The Fat Man) in the climax. A dwarf came to their office and asked them to look after a box of Maltesers, ‘on their life’ and not to open it.
