Any advice on what to look out for? I'm reading the Cyrus is bright and so might not pair well with the bright Dalis? As I can't test them at the same time as the Cyrus, any advice on the Powernode or Brio as alternatives, and what pairs well with what? I'll be looking to arrange a home demo if I like what I hear and if I can also get a Brio or Powernode to compare. They'll need to work for TV and Spotify streaming in a large lounge. Equipped with both LFE and line inputs, the Dali E9F allows for easy integration within your AV system and delivers both power and accuracy for a dynamic home cinema experience.

Would you guys still recommend Maratantz over Denon if I go with a stereo amp? And because of the amp can I go for a lower range receiver, for example on Denons, pair a 1600H/2600h with the stereo amp rather than 3600H? (assuming both have same features sets on room correction, etc.)SUB E-9 F is elevated from the floor by cone shaped rubber feet, while a down-firing bass port allows positioning directly against the wall. For film and TV you have the 3600 and the Elicit fired up, all you do on the Elicit is to engage HT by-pass by a simple press of a button on the fascia or the remote. How would the Kef Q550/Q750 compare with the Dali 5 Oberons (assuming that I do have a sub). Would they be a better for the the 3600? The integrated limiter works in two areas: It compares the input signal amplitude to the potential output signal level, and it compares the available supply voltage from the power supply to the expected output signal. If any of these comparisons show that there will be a problem then the limiter will cut the signal in a soft manner and without affecting peak power.

If you absolutely have to have streaming functionality built in to the amp I'd suggest the following for audition: Really looking forward to comparing the Sonetto 1 vs the Rubicon 2, and to see how well the Menuet stands up against these bigger speakers. I’m sure the Rega Brio will be fine but as I said I won’t be able to test anything else in that mid size price range with this dealer. Shame because I know there are more powerful mid sized amps like the Cyrus One Cast available and there will always be that nagging doubt wondering if it would be more suitable for the bigger speakers?!The integrated 170 Watt RMS Class D amplifier is a highly linear construction. The DALI SUB E-9 F will follow and render the required signal with an absolute minimum of bias. Designed not only for continuous power, but also for peak power, this subwoofer is able to deliver 220 Watt Peak Power. This is very relevant when it comes to both movie and music signals. How big your room is isn’t so much of an issue if you’re sitting fairly close to the speakers - the most important thing is the direct sound from the speakers and how far that has to travel. Partnered with the DALI Oberon 5 5.1 system, the E-9F subwoofer helped secure the success in the 2020 What Hi-Fi Awards and a 5-star review. Considered one of the finest budget subwoofers from DALI in some time, the E-9F certainly doesn't want for critical praise. The Dali is a pretty subwoofer, but I agree with Robbiey. Their stated frequency range is 28 Hz to 190 Hz +/- 3 dB. For music (except for pipe organs and synthesizers) it should do the job nicely. For HT, I'd be looking at subwoofers that will get you down to 20 Hz (and 25 Hz with excellent output). You have a medium size room (56 cu. meters or around 2,000 cu. ft) so at a minimum I'd be looking at the SVS PB-1000 (but if you have the funds, the PB-2000 would be an impressive improvement). Don't know where you call home, but SVS may be available to you. Wow, what a difference! In the much smaller space, each sub reproduced deeper bass response that I could feel in my sternum; it shook the house."

The demo is this week and the retailer will pair them with the Cyrus One HD - their only mid sized option within my budget. Other options I will try to test are the Bluesound Powernode and the Rega Brio. I have a 5m x 4m room. It's styled modern so room acoustics are poor. Porcelain tiles floor, L-shaped leather lounge against the wall, and a rug in the middle. Aluminium blinds on windows and a concrete ceiling 2.8m high. The wall where the TV sits is 3m long and is more of a dividing wall with 1.2m openings on either side to the rest of the open plan entrance/ dining, and kitchen area.

Hi great forum where I have learnt a lot and so far made a lot of my decisions. I now need some advise on my specific setup for my final decision, as it has become very specific so I hope you can help. Switchmode power supply is part of the reason for very low power consumption – only 0.4 Watt in stand-by mode. And the amplifier displays an impressive efficiency of 70%. In unison the high-efficiency amplifier section and power supply construction generate an absolute minimum of heat loss. For that reason you will find no external heat sink on this subwoofer. I am starting from scratch, so would need a receiver as well and possibly a sub. Rght now these are on my list:

Features

HT by-pass is now finding it's way into lower tier amps making such connections a lot easier. It was once the domain if higher tier stereo amps. I would like to start by saying that I think the Leak Stereo 130 is an excellent choice for the basis of a stereo system. Leak was one of the very early legendary audio companies. It's great that they have been resurrected. And while the Q350 isn’t as good a speaker as an R3 or LS50 Meta, it will be a better match for the Sonos and Bluesound amps you mention. Theyre an easier load for an amplifier to deal with, and the less you tax the amplifier, the better it will sound.
