Employees of the restaurant tell stories of silverware rearranging itself once tables are set, eerie voices coming from rooms after dark, and shadowy figures glimpsed in the kitchen. Diners have had text messages changed after sending them, and in once terrifying instance, one recipient of a text sent from a table in the restaurant received the message, “DEATH” instead of the original text. According to one Titanic researcher, “it is said that a male ghost, thought to be violinist John Woodward, has been seen in the orchestra pit - but no-one has seen him recently, sadly”. Below are comments from Dr. Parr from interview he gave in 2009 with the producers of Titanic’s Ghost in which explains how and why his conclusion about the identity of the unknown child changed. The best-known film adaptation of the Titanic story is probably James Cameron's 1997 box-office hit. The film is considered one of the most successful films in movie history — it won 11 Oscars. John Woodward was one of the musicians aboard the Titanic; more specifically, he was the cellist. Woodward, along with his fellow bandmates, all perished in the sinking. Woodward, at some point, moved to Dorset, England and joined the Eastbourne Municipal Orchestra before becoming a member of the Von Leer Orchestra at the Grand Hotel, Eastbourne and later the Duke of Devonshire’s Eastbourne Orchestra. He joined the White Star Line in 1909.Spencer, John (28 July 1992). The Paranormal: A Modern Perspective on the Forces Within, Without & Beyond. Crescent. p.150. ISBN 978-0517073322. Other tales from the Luxor Exhibit include the ghostly vandalism of a portrait of Bruce Ismay, one of the designers of Titanic. When the ship began to sink, Ismay abandoned her and boarded a lifeboat instead of helping others find their way to safety. Luxor employees say that the ghosts of those Ismay left to their deaths shake his portrait off the walls at night, letting everyone know they haven’t forgotten Ismay’s betrayal. 4. Titanic’s Final Resting Place Contrary to popular mythology, Titanic was never described as " unsinkable", without qualification, until after she sank. [2] [3] Three trade publications (one of which was probably never published) described Titanic as practically unsinkable prior to her sinking. Many survivors recalled in video interviews as well as in testimony that they had considered the ship "unsinkable". Shipbuilder Harland and Wolff did not claim she was unsinkable, but a promotional item from the White Star Line stressed the safety of Olympic and Titanic, claiming that "as far as it is possible to do so, these two wonderful vessels are designed to be unsinkable". [4] Claims by trade publications that vessels were unsinkable or being practically unsinkable were not unique to the Olympic-class ocean liners or other White Star ships. Similar claims were made about the Cunarders Lusitania and Mauretania, and German liners Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse and Kaiser Wilhelm II. Advanced safety features on these liners were heavily publicised, de-emphasising the likelihood of these ships' sinking in a serious accident.
