I really enjoyed the first two sections, which I found preferable to the third, but the book is great all around. It's nice to see someone acknowledging that we can be afraid of our work, and that we can manage that fear.I have about 13 years of collegiate and graduate art school under my belt, and I've worked in the fine and commercial arts. It’s the kind of book you can flip a few pages through to remind yourself why you aren’t spending all your free time watching movies and drinking margaritas, which is easy, and therefore, fun. It would have loved it if it was my first time seeing these concepts, but it worked well as a reminder too. The reflection that chapter inspired was well worth reading the rest of the book though nothing else was as revolutionary for me-- I got what I needed early in the pages.
