Next, let’s talk about the C or common wire. If you have a Trane model thermostat and a wire labeled X or B, refer to your thermostat manual. In some cases, one of those wires is your common. If you have a C wire, place it into the C terminal on your wall plate. C wire adapters are available here. Comfort meets convenience with Honeywell Home thermostats. We know how important it is to keep our homes nice and warm, especially during the colder months, and that’s why here at Plumbworld, we offer a range of Honeywell Home Thermostats, offering a collection of analogue and digital programmable thermostats which will easily have your home temperature under control. Boasting advanced technology and modern features, the Honeywell thermostat does the clever stuff for you by managing the hot water flow from your boiler to your radiators or underfloor heating system. This diagram shows the wiring layout using the most typical components. Here, coloured wires indicate the permanent mains supply to the boiler and programmer. The three additional coloured valve wires are also shown (white, grey and orange).

The Honeywell CS92A is a temperature controller that is designed to provide precise and efficient control of heating systems. This controller is suitable for use in residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The room thermostat is shown with a neutral connection. However a 2 wire thermostat can be used which does not require a neutral. Operation - Hot water only Honeywell Cylinder Stat Wiring: When it comes to wiring a Honeywell cylinder stat, it’s important to understand the different components and how they work together. The cylinder stat is responsible for controlling the temperature of the hot water in your cylinder, ensuring it stays at a comfortable level. Before getting started, it’s important to familiarize yourself with the wiring diagram provided by Honeywell. This diagram will show you the necessary connections and the color codes for the wires. Make sure to follow the diagram carefully to avoid any mistakes. Here, power is also applied to programmer terminal 4, which connects via wiring centre terminal 4 to the room thermostat. If heat is required, power continues to terminal 5 in the wiring centre, and therefore to the white valve wire. The Honeywell Wireless thermostat gives you that extra bit of freedom. While each Honeywell Home thermostat is incredibly easy to use, you'll also get easy-to-follow installation instructions and a user manual, making the setup a breeze. Power starts at terminal 3 (HW On) in the programmer. This passes via the wiring centre terminal 6 to the cylinder thermostat. If heat is required, power continues to terminal 8 in the wiring centre, and on to the boiler and pump.

On most valves, the actuator head containing the switches and motor can be replaced as a separate unit without draining the system. On some, the internal motor can be replaced, although it is often easier to change the whole head. This results in a noticeable delay when switching on heating only, as the motor has to move the valve from B to A. This takes several seconds. Overview Video
