There are many different substances that can be used to spike from alcohols to a range of drugs. Whilst there are some indications that a drink may have been spiked, often this is not the case. If in doubt talk to the bar staff at the venue; however, some tell-tale signs may include:

The Norman cathedral still dominates the skyline as you approach Canterbury; giving 21 st century visitors the same sense of awe as their medieval counterparts. Completely refurbished and reopened in 2012 in what's become the city's cultural hub - the Marlowe Theatre is also located in the vicinity - the building itself is something of a tourist attraction, designed in an attractive Tudor-revival style and constructed in the late 19th century.
