Also, I feel like there needed to be a few more specific scenes between Miller and Kai. There was a lot of internal monologuing and not as many real intimate moments as I think there needed to be to really feel the connection between them. Logan: This year is all about me. This duet is simply beautiful and extremely cute, so I will say thank you to Isa for telling me that I had to make it a priority on my TBR list.

But then somewhere when Miller and Kai started to have sex the book loses its spark for me and it got boring 🤡 i still enjoyed the the little mundane moments Miller or Kai had with Max, but the romance was just mehhhh so the book started to fall from a 4 stars to a 3 stars book. Until the last couple of chapters. Miller: As a high-end pastry chef who recently won the most prestigious award in my industry, I’m desperate to prove I deserve it. But with a new title comes new pressure, and I can’t create a fresh and inspiring dessert to save my life.

Minnesota is a fresh start for me—I can finally leave my past behind. i’m not gonna give this book a five star despite all my rambling about how much i loved it, and the answer is pretty simple; I don’t think it deserves a five star i’m trying to be a little more critical, and not give five stars out like candy on halloween. i can’t give you an exact reason to why this wasn’t a five star for me, other than i don’t feel like it deserves a five star. it was very predictable, and the writing was very normal and not anything special. i’d say read this book if you liked the first two in the series, if not then don’t <3
