Perhaps they just don't like not having the option, like it's a 'control thing' and the inanimate object is dictating how it should function. I like the look of both, but if the finish is better on this one then that would probably bug me on the 170D if i went for that. This LCW-M100 houses a ridiculous number of them and I’m going to quickly whizz through the most useful and important of them. There doesn't seem to be a huge amount of information about these watches out there, a few videos here and there and a couple of forum threads. However the bottom 3 indices are cut short by the LCD, which is a necessary sacrifice given how small the dial is in comparison.

I do like the fact it's less obvious that there is an LCD at all, from a distance anyway, but I do NEED to be able to glance at it and actually read it without squinting!

A while back I was looking for a titanium, solar, radio-sync watch to fill the Casio Oceanus-shaped hole in my collection. In an ideal world, I’d prefer a smaller gap between the dial and digital display, along with a dedicated backlight for that display; as it’s not the clearest in low-light with the current LED that mainly illuminates the analogue portion of the watch.

The indices are quite unique- they're applied to the chapter ring in such a way that they 'float' over the dial slightly, giving the watch more depth that it would otherwise have. What I'm curious about is why so many owners complain about not being able to turn off the power save function - it's a good thing surely, and the watch wakes up instantly when required. We understand that it’s nice to have a paper manual for your Casio Radio Controlled LCW-M100TSE-1AER Watch. Just found this post as I was trying to decide between these two exact models, and I had to login and echo what several others have said: Thanks for this incredibly helpful review! My eyesight and hand-eye co-ordination are fine, but trying to manipulate and re-insert that miniscule collar was a nightmare. The daily alarm reminds you about recurring events with an acoustic signal at the time you have set. Radio-controlled models, such as this one, are not only astonishingly accurate, but they can also modify the time automatedly when clocks in your country switch to daylight savings.

A luminous coating provides long-term illumination in the dark after only a short exposure to light. Well, a lot of the watches I feature on this blog get tested out for a couple of weeks and end up getting sold off further down the line. thick, although at first glance at the spec sheet you might think this watch has a bigger dial at 40mm across. The solid titanium housing is particularly impressive in its design; it is corrosion resistant and its skin-friendly qualities make it suitable for those with allergies. I struggle to decide which dial i like most, but the lack of lume on the sportier one is very VERY annoying as it would be an easy choice without that problem.Unfortunately the indices are very cheap looking, I'm not sure if they're actually metal or a chromed plastic but the finishing isn't very good and they look cheap imo. It’s a credit to the quality of this watch that it has made enough of an impression to remain in the rotation. The term is used to describe clocks and watches that tell the time of day as well as measure a certain period of time, like a stopwatch.
