Description

Even though the Anker Life P2i by Soundcore has actual buttons, it has the same control scheme as the latest touch-controlled offerings from the brand. That means all important controls are within reach: However, when walking around, I did notice these did something that neither the Flying Tiger earbuds nor Skullcandy Dime ones did… they started falling out when walking. Thumping Beats: Life P2i true wireless earbuds are capable of producing some punchy beats thanks to their 10mm oversized drivers. We've replaced the Anker SoundCore Life P3 Truly Wireless with the Anker Soundcore Space A40 Truly Wireless. We've also replaced the Anker Soundcore Life Q30 Wireless with the Anker Soundcore Space Q45 Wireless. We've added brand comparisons as well, in addition to expanding the lineup information.

Design and comfort: 3.5/5 - Comfortable, even though you can always feel the round tips in your ears• Comfort-Secure Fit: Life P2i true wireless earbuds weigh 0.15oz (4.4g), perfect for all-day wear without fatigue. Choose between 3 ear tips sizes that offer a secure fit for a comfortable listening experience. Has Anker managed to make a human-manageable control schema for these Soundcore Life P2i earbuds? With two buttons, I can answer that with a simple “nope”. Dual EQ Modes: Bass Mode gives you the thump and rumble that’s great for music listening. Switch to Podcast Mode to highlight clear vocals in spoken-word audio.

Trending in True Wireless Earbuds

You can customize their sound using their companion app's graphic EQ and presets. Like their truly wireless counterpart, the Anker Soundcore Space A40 Truly Wireless, they even support LDAC codec, making them a solid choice for Hi-Res audio content. They offer multi-device and NFC pairing, so connecting them to your smartphone or laptop is easy. The earbuds were in pairing mode “out of the box”, connecting over a Bluetooth interface with the phone. No app is required to take advantage of these buds or configure them – a welcome thing to see for something at this level. Comfort and Fit

Onto Crab Rave by Noisestorm– as there is a law that every tech review has to use it, and the results we got in Corcovado are mirrored here, with a thumpy base, but instruments at the top of the earphone range can be a little tinny. Since the issue with their Eufy brand in which data was left unencrypted and the company’s behaviour has been… less than clean, I find it difficult to recommend an Anker product of any sort based on the handling of the situation.

How do you control the Anker Soundcore Life P2?

These have physical buttons as opposed to touch-sensitive buttons, which can take a little to get used to. In particular, you do feel like you’re pushing your fingers in your ear with controlling the earbuds. Range

Both of these have two EQ presets which are great but you would prefer editing the sound EQs through the Soundcore app. The only thing missing from the controls is activating the voice assistant. The responsiveness from the button is great, and you don't push the earbuds into your ears every time you operate it. These comfortable and well-built buds have a warm sound profile out of the box, but you can fine-tune their sound to suit your tastes using their companion app's graphic EQ and presets. You can also use the app to switch to LDAC codec to stream Hi-Res content. That said, their mic has poor recording quality. The mic captures speech that sounds far away and sibilant, which can be a dealbreaker if you take a lot of calls. However, if you're just looking to listen to music, these wallet-friendly earbuds are worth a look. While wireless earbuds with actual buttons are becoming rarer and rarer. Soundcore Life P2i attaches a medium-length stem to oval earpieces, which are comfortable and it snugly. The earbuds and the case are rated IPX5 for water and dust resistance. Here we judge durability as the perfect and sturdy for the case and earbuds. These have a single LED light which can not be considered the battery life indicator.Sadly, on the box, there’s no way to tell the battery level – there’s just one LED on it. Thankfully, most phone software should be able to work out the battery level of a Bluetooth device. Male and female singers are put forward and well-separated from instruments. Upper-mids and most vocals come with a smooth, warm undertone but enjoy enough presence - and vocals and higher instruments like violins, cymbals, and claps are cut off before they sound harsh. Higher vocals can be a bit metallic, though. Depending on your trust levels, basic Bluetooth (even Bluetooth 5.2) shouldn’t present too many issues on this front.

Recent headphones from this manufacturer have an adjustable noise cancelling system that offers excellent overall performance. Their noise isolation performance nearly rivals high-end brands like Bose and Sony. And yet, the Anker Soundcore Life P2 buds manage to stand out from the crowd. They have a comfortable, fuss-free design, good sound, decent call quality, and endurance to spare. They can’t offer the highest grade of sound reproduction, but what they do produce does bely their price point and is certainly good enough for the average listener. This song is… well can be best filed, “I spend too much time in hipster coffee shops drinking V60s”. The base is a nice punch, however, the instruments and voice are a little tinny at the top ends.Just ensure you get the right ear tips in, or else you’ll be unhappy when they fall out in the middle of the street. Anker headphones generally have high latency on PC. You may notice your audio and visuals fall out of sync, which can be frustrating if you like to stream video on your laptop.
