This Owatrol Textrol Penetrating Oil will give your wood a very natural look. Textrol actually deeply seeps into the top of the wood and helps protect it from further weathering and from UV’s beaming down from the sun along with protecting it from moisture in the air. Maintenance applications may be required approximately once every 2 years depending on the wood species, its age at the time of the initial application e.g. new or weathered and the colour used. Textrol HES will gradually lighten over time due to exposure to the sun and UV rays. Textrol HES is a one-coat, penetrating oil finish for softwoods and European hardwoods. It has been developed to penetrate deep in to the wood with a high solids content which protects the timber against damage caused by the weather and UV rays. Deks Olje D1 is different from Textrol in that it can be used on new wood (with some surface preparation) if you are looking for an immediate protection. D1 is a saturating wood oil which gives a clear matt finish that enhances the natural beauty of the wood and is easy to maintain as just like Textrol it requires no sanding or stripping! It provides outstanding protection against damage by moisture and UV rays and can even be used on interior wood as well as exterior wood. D1 is available in 1 L, 2.5 L and 20 L containers and as a guide you will need approximately 1 L for every 1-4m² you need to cover. NB– If you apply the product with a sprayer, it is a good idea to go over it lightly with a brush or roller afterwards for better penetration. ApplicationClean the surface with Net-Trol and allow it to dry. Re-apply Textrol HES as directed under ‘Application’. Cleaning with Net-Trol once a year between treatments to remove dirt and other surface contamination will renew the appearance of the finish and wood. Clean Up

If your patio doors have not been finished with any varnish, wood oil, paint etc, then you would need to use Net-Trol clean and brighten the wood reviving the colour.

If none of those took your fancy, there are an endless number of different types of decorative fence panels, from curvy tops to castle styles you’re bound to find something right for you – do be aware though that these can be costly! Apply a second coat of Textrol in the same way as the first. Again allow to soak in for 15-30 minutes. Ensure you have cleaned the wood as detailed above and left it to dry for at least a couple of days Remove loose debris with a brush before application. Allow the wood to dry thoroughly (2-3 warm days) before applying Textrol. When Textrol is first applied it will leave the wood looking nice and rich. Over time this will fade into a lighter colour to give the finished look. Using this oil-based wood finish gives you the best of both worlds. It provides brilliant protection from the elements while enhancing the beauty of the wood.

Clean all tools and equipment with white spirits whilst still wet. If allowed to dry, remove with paint stripper.
