El ritmo de la historia ayuda mucho, despertó mi curiosidad, me encantó el mundo que evoca pero sobretodo la protagonista desconfiada, leal y beligerante.

I loved the plot but I just wish the main character was a little less childishly defiant and more bad ass cunning. A strong female should be intelligent, recognise her situation and push to gain the upper hand, not by being rude, but by being smart.The sexual tension between them is palpable, yet they resist each other due to the many secrets and lies between them. A 5 stars book tends to have me raging about cliff hangers and stalking the author for release dates. A) Think (amongst all these people who kill humans for sport and nibbles), somebody likes me and is trying to save me.

You've just arrived in a place where humans are eaten, and someone puts a key under the door to your locked room. I guess she’s the only person in the world with slightly reddish hair, and that just makes her oh-so special. Otherwise, we didn’t learn much about her other than she had red hair and could sense magic in gold. The main characters had no characterisation at all, and Reyna had only one personality trait: doing and saying the exakt opposite of what everyone tells her to do and nothing else.The world building was fantastic, and although the FMC tends to be difficult even when it is not beneficial for her in any way, The MMC is not without his stubbornness as well, over all throughly enjoyed the series and all the characters, Worth the read! However, in reality, she isn't, making stupid decisions that often put herself and others in danger.

She had been a victim her whole life and was scrappy enough to get out of tough situations, though not always unscathed. I sometimes want to smack to protagonist for being so difficult but I could also understand where she was coming from. there are 2 types of defiant women first is the one who is defiant, but knows how to work the system to her advantage and to get out of her own way…. It has piqued my interest and I would love to read more books that explore the concept of Viking Fae.But when he announces her as his betrothed, she knows that she must escape before she is eternally bound to the monster behind the mask. The summary portrays the protagonist as a "defiant human" and she's even praised for her bravery by some characters. I do not understand why a strong female character needs to be rude, obstinate for no reason, stupidly stubborn, and lacking in reason and self awareness. I also appreciate that the sexual tension between the two main protagonists hasn't been satisfied in the first book; keeps it interesting.
