Description

She is living on a Narrow Boat on the Oxford Canal while working her way through the fall out from Ronnie's death. An enjoyable and entertaining plot making for an engaging, relaxing read providing some much needed escapism. Janine is not impressed with having Hillary as her 'boss' and her relationship with Mel causes problems for everyone.

Book one in the Mia Kazmaroff Mysteries, Reckless, introduces you to a sleuthing heroine like you've not seen before. They have a solid plot line, believable characters and a little humour along with enough background to keep the reader interested without overdoing things. For two decades, Nancy has thought her mother was dead…until she discovered she was spotted at a party at a country estate five months ago. There is no lack of suspects, though and Greene's team is going to have to sift and sort through a lot of lies and secrets.

A brand new cosy mystery series from the bestselling author of Murder at the Lighthouse, perfect for fans of Faith Martin, Betty Rowlands and Joy Ellis. Her team are a mixed bunch from Janine who is having a relationship with the Hillary superior to Frank who can’t really be relied on but has a good set of “nouses” to keep him informed. He also seems to be very much a lecherous pervert, who gave me the heebie jeebies every time he was mentioned.Having read and enjoyed the first three novels in the Hillary Green series, I settled into this one, not realising what a great and gripping story it was going to be.

During the course of the first three books, the regular crew of the Thames Valley force have become well established. Can Hillary find the murderer and will she survive a brush with one of Oxford’s most dangerous criminals? maybe i was spotted c recently with a narrator who had huge capacity for different voices Happy I went back to reading it. Chapter length is just right for my commute, especially as many of the chapters are subdivided which allows plenty of places for a break in the story without losing continuity, yet does tend to tempt you to read "just one more".An arrogantly famous American chef opens up a bistro in St-Buvard where things don't end well, to say the least. I feel like if it had invested in her first three novels I may have rated this one higher but there’s no way of knowing. Consequently, she knows how the system works, and is fiercely loyal to the force without being blinkered to its faults. Love… The story twisted along, with everyone becoming a suspect… A fab read, that I devoured in a day.
