Over 100 of testers trialled 21 curling tongs, wands and wavers. They judged how easy each tool was to use, how well it reached their roots and how pleased they were with their final style. Each styler was also analysed in our lab for performance and heat-up time. Our testers found this styler comfortable and easy to use. They loved that the barrels and handle felt high quality, describing it as ‘definitely premium’. It created natural, loose waves and was particularly good at creating ‘beachy waves’ with the tapered barrel and ‘uniform curls and spirals’ with the straight barrel. I have since had another client complain that even after washing their hair three times the smell of burned hair is still lingering. I have since tried it and have experienced the same string smell.
