This one smells so impressively similar ingredients-wise, if you have one, for the most part you'd be fine without the other unless it's a big deal for you to not miss out on their key differences.

Not the biggest fan of how prevalent the sugar note is on the dry down but overall the scent profile is a less smoky but more sweet Replica by the fireplace. Like many designer fragrances that turn out utterly weak and unlike a sample or a friend's bottle, brands sadly no longer take the time to strengthen their juice before selling as a means to save money/up their profits. I have thought about making this one a signature scent but it's just too cozy for me to put myself out there like that lol. Top notes are Woodsy Notes and Agarwood (Oud); middle notes are Sugar and Vanilla; base notes are Agarwood (Oud), Sandalwood and Herbal Notes.

It’s probably my fault that I did not listen to the reviews saying this is more of a male scent, but since I love all the notes mentioned (and I expected it to be heavy on the vanilla), I blind bought this one. Some might argue it smells a little bit 'middle-eastern' but the vanilla notes took care of it and makes the perfume even more balanced. Anyway, to my conclusion- ish: if you like a smoky wood type fragrance and have good experiences with Oudh I can definitely recommend Ameer Al Oudh Intense oud. I immediately loved it on first sniff and was blown away by the quality of the ingredients and the nuclear fixative that makes it last over 12 hours on my skin and still project to my nose.

It was very different from everything I own and as something of a mixologist I also love fragrances that can be used a great layer - in this case the base. A princely allspice toffee wrapped in charred wood resins and vanilla, slightly fumed with a bakhoor hint that drifts beautifully cozy especially in the chill. The fragrance projects a long way without being over powering but I would use a moderate number of sprays. I've held onto bottles of fragrances which I did not care for initially, but eventually grew to not only like, but love (Pehaligon's Blenheim Bouquet and Douro are two that come to mind).Ameer Al Oudh Intense tones the firewood smoke down and balances it with other perfumey notes, so your nose is not getting constantly blasted by that smoke. I bought this under the impression it would be a dupe for By the Fireplace but it’s not even close to my nose.
