Note that this weight is for the GRAY version of the tent. There are other versions of the tent made from a different material and weigh more! The newer version of the tent also has an extra pole, which adds a bit of weight. Performance Comparison

My older version is semi-freestanding. After the structure is erect it can be moved around easily like a freestanding, but the rear corners need pegging out else the inside tail of the tents sags. The current version is fully freestanding. The materials used to make the FlyCreek tent are definitely of a better quality than those of the CloudUp 2.
