To make my designs I used beads from a pastel mix of beads. I have used a slightly darker shade for the pattern so that the colours will show up well when printed. You need beads in pastel pink, blue, green, yellow and purple. But of course you can always mix and match with whatever coloured beads you have available. When making your perler beads, be careful not to iron them for too long. They will start to spread out and lose their shape if they are melted too much. But the kids like them better when they melt together enough that you don’t see the holes in the perler beads.
