I typically start with easier, smaller patterns in my list and then move on to the more difficult ones. You’ll see several different versions of bunnies, eggs, etc. with larger patterns; just keep scrolling! Perler beads are recommended for ages six and up, so this is a very fun craft to try with kids. They love perler beads (also known as hama beads, fuse beads, or melty beads). I don’t know about you, but my kids LOVE creating patterns with perler beads. They like to calm them melty beads, but they’re also know as Hama beads. With your finished eggs you could use them to create an Easter garland or hang them from an Easter tree. Or your little ones could give them out as a little gifts if you would prefer a non-chocolate present. They’ve been around for a while. I was making perler bead creations when I was a kid! Which I guess really wasn’t that long ago;) What are perler beads?

To make my designs I used beads from a pastel mix of beads. I have used a slightly darker shade for the pattern so that the colours will show up well when printed. You need beads in pastel pink, blue, green, yellow and purple. But of course you can always mix and match with whatever coloured beads you have available. When making your perler beads, be careful not to iron them for too long. They will start to spread out and lose their shape if they are melted too much. But the kids like them better when they melt together enough that you don’t see the holes in the perler beads. So I guess it’s a matter of preference:)With our printable pattern, children can easily turn colorful beads into beautiful decorations for their home. If you’re jonesing for some great holiday craft ideas for the littles, I’ve got hours of entertainment for you below with a big collection of Easter perler beads!

I think it would be too difficult to try and explain the basic pattern. Instead I have included that outlines for the eggs for both a square and hexagon base. Or if you’ve never tried fusible bead projects before, the Easter break is a great time to give them a try. With this printable Easter egg Perler bead pattern printable, kids can enjoy a fun and creative activity this Easter. You can buy beads in bags of individual colors, but if you’re just getting started this tub of assorted beads is a more cost effective way to get a variety of colors. When we were young, we did all of the Easter traditions. We went to church and dressed up. We also had ham every Easter dinner, and we never had ham. But it was a thing.

Remember that the overall goal is to melt the beads together on both sides while still leaving the holes open. Here’s how you get the best results. Use Ironing or Parchment Paper Another Note: some beads melt faster than others (clear melts faster than white, for example). So some holes might be larger than others. It’s okay! That’s part of the look of the project. Iron the Other Side

Easter Perler Bead Patterns - Frugal Fun For Boys Printable Easter Perler Bead Patterns - Frugal Fun For Boys

I'm mom to four boys and one little girl. Frugal Fun for Boys and Girls is a place to find fun activities that kids will LOVE! We specialize in LEGO building ideas, STEM activities, and play ideas for active kids! Today I am sharing some Easter egg designs which are perfect to use with Hama beads, or else they would also work really well for any cross stitch or other pixel art crafts. These designs can be made using a square Hama bead pegboard, which most Hama bead crafters will have in their collection as it is easily available and comes with many Hama bead sets. They are a good way to make Easter egg designs if you don't have the specially shaped Easter egg pegboard. Not only can you have regular easter eggs, but you can make these super cute easter egg ornaments out of perler beads! To make beautiful perler bead patterns you place the beads on pegboards as mentioned above, and then you cover the design with parchment paper and iron it. The gorgeous colours in these Easter eggs would look beautiful hung as a decoration or attached to an Easter card. Because they require concentration and precision, they are excellent for helping to develop fine motor skills.

A few of these patterns are larger than a 29 x 29 pegboard, so you’ll either need a extra large pegboard(49 x 69 tall) or to put multiple square peg boards together to form a larger “canvas.” Perler beads, or you might know them as Hama beads, or fusible beads, are a great craft activity for kids, tweens and teens (there are big Perler bead options for little hands too). Making Perler bead crafts is a great activity idea for a group of kids of different ages, as everyone can work on their own projects at their own level. Not only is it a great way for them to express themselves, but it’s also an easy and fun activity that both parents and children can enjoy together. The Printable Pattern Before we get into the patterns, I want to review a few basics of using fuse beads to make sure you get the best results.
