I wanted to pick up the fragrance because I have heard great things about it and after owning it the fragrance does smell good, but as I said above this is the worst-performing fragrance I have ever bought. The bitter, the sweet, the rosy and the woody, have all come together in a fragrant aroma to mould the distinct, ama. after all, fragrances like this are made purely to attract positive reactions from others so if you can get it to perform, you're going to receive compliments for sure.

I am pleased, I’m delighted, I’m surprised, and I’m absolutely curious, now more than ever, about Aventus. I'm not the biggest fan of the first 30 minutes (I can smell some lemon pledge chemical stuff, especially from too close) but the dry down (and the more it dry the better it smells) is a great clone of Aventus. Yes it was released prior to this frag and the intense version, but it is still truer to Aventus with the Black Current, Pineapple, etc. The tester comes without the fancy packaging (usually in a plain white box) and often without a cap (unless mentioned otherwise). I feel like all the people that were dissatisfied with CDNIM hyped up this frag for reasons I cannot find.However I must say neither does a good job conveying the original fragrance and I cant for the life of me understand how people can say they cant smell the difference.

I get decent performance with this one and if you don’t care about a pineapple opening then you’d probably love this one. Went ahead and bought this one and the Armaf one as those were the clones people say were the closest to CA. The opening accord of lemon and bergamot replaces the pineapple/apple of Aventus with some degree of success, but ultimately is the fragrances weakest link in its attempt to duplicate the same effect - though it should be noted L'Aventure, as a whole, doesn't have anywhere near the same quality of ingredients to work with.CDNIM to me smelled very abrasive whereas this is smoother, woodier and has higher quality citrus in my opinion. See, while Club De Nuit Intense EDT has gotten more compliments than any other fragrance in my collection, It’s way too strong sometimes, I could not dare to wear it to the office, it would choke people out, it projects and lasts WAY better than Creed Aventus itself.
