Mark Plan Teach 2.0 builds upon how it has translated into a wide variety of contexts – the good and the not-so-good. The book highlights what I’ve learned from others, what works (or not), plus some new ideas I’ve discovered from my research at Cambridge University. I would be very happy to recommend this book to novice teachers and would consider it to be a very useful addition to the reading lists for ITE programmes.

I am even more delighted that he takes a critical approach to this. He is clear about the complex variables involved in educational research and the danger of assuming that straightforward answers could be taken from it that would work in every context. Though these points are made very clearly near the beginning, occasionally throughout the book it could be argued that research and evidence is presented as unproblematic. Mark. Plan. Teach. will be Ross Morrison McGill’s third book for Bloomsbury Education, and is aimed at every teacher – those new to the profession or with years of experience.
