ALL of the characters are fantastic, the romantic tension is *chefs kiss* and the setting makes you feel like you’re on summer vacation with them in Rome. Mina introduces her to a group of other women who work in fashion, and they have the coolest support system and friendship. Kate Bromley did such a great job with the cast of characters and their friendships and banter and love for one another, and she did such an amazing job writing about Italy that I didn’t even care that the main characters and their journey to find love didn’t work for me.Reddit and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to provide you with a better experience. Marco and Violet arrive in Rome together and almost immediately Matt enters the scene with one of the cutest and most embarrassing meet-cutes I’ve read. So when she lands an internship at an up-and-coming fashion brand in Rome, she brings her A game to Italy.

Fabulous Italian food, Prosecco, Roman landmarks, glittery parties, and peaks into the fashion industry serve as the backdrop to this grumpy/sunshine, enemies to lovers, forced proximity romcom. I was very excited by the prospect but I did not know what it would be like to be alone in a different country.Maybe if there would have been an epilogue that showed some of their future and where they ended up, I would have felt different? Violet learns its never to late to follow your dreams and it's OK to let go and trust other people again after a once broken heart.
