From the start, Colin sees Olivia as his best friend’s annoying younger sister, so it was fun to see his perspective change as he got to know her as Miss Misdial and see her wit, insults and perception of life in a new light. The plot follows Olivia who after a breakup and unintentional fire moves back to her hometown and moves in with her brother and his best friend. Hilarious, heart-melting, and hopeful, Painter's adult debut is a romantic delight that I wished would never end. I knelt down and scooped as much as I could back into the bottle, setting it carefully on the shower shelf and hoping no one would notice.

I might have read this if I had just picked it up, but knowing the main character is annoying, lies etc.Anything bad happens, losing job, finding he is Mr Wrong Number, Colin setting up things, her knee jerk reaction is “Colin has motive of making her look fool and he used knowlege of her being Miss Misdial as advantage”. Kayne gravitates toward stories with humor, swoon-worthy love interests, and memorable furry sidekicks, although really, if there's a happy ever after, she's here for it! Wrong Number can keep Miss Misdial at arm’s length, Colin is having a hard time ignoring his growing interest in Olivia.
