This is the follow up to Marissa Meyer's Gilded, a retelling of the Rumpelstiltskin fairytale, an atmospheric magical fantasy. There were moments I felt truly horrified by some of the events that happened in the story, and there were lots of layers that slowly got exposed which made the atmosphere even thicker.
