Just so you know, that’s not a typo in the product name. PlayStation names their headsets Silver for wired models and Gold for wireless. This one just so happens to also have gold in the name of the color.

Don't judge me, but I've lost my fair share of headset microphones in my career, but I'm not a huge fan of leaving the mic in front of my face all day when it's not in use. A flip-up mic is a much better option, so glad to see one make the cut with the HS55. The microphone cannot be detached and it cannot be folded up to the earcups. Instead, it is retractable and includes a button on the microphone itself. The button allows you to mute the mic and also lights up in red whenever the mic is muted. The very same qualities that make the Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X perfect for long hours of critical listening, mixing, and mastering of audio are great for gaming. And you get everything needed in a set of headphones. At the same time, the ONIKUMA headset is modestly comfortable. The memory foam ear cushions are soft and comfy enough. The problem is with the band and the design of the headset. It pinches your head over time, so you may not find it comfortable with extended use.In terms of audio quality, the Kraken delivers as well. You’ll get a rich sound out of the box, and with additional software, you can enable 7.1 positional audio. The sound quality is very good, even at high volumes, while the bass is also powerful. If you play a lot of shooters and action games, you will love the way those shots thump in your ears. Besides that, it comes with a wind cover to help reduce ambient noise as well. If you spend a lot of time in team chat talking to other players, the H510 Zeus will work great. For gamers looking for a cheaper pink headset with a good microphone, the Zeus should be at the top of your list.

The cat ears are the star of the show, they look very cute and have RGB LEDs designed by Razer to be compatible with Razer Chroma. You can customize the lighting with different colors patterns and effects very easily. Along with that, the outside of the earcups has RGB LEDs which are also compatible with Razer Chroma. Fortunately, the base can be removed from the stand, so if you just want to keep your headset close and use the base elsewhere, you can still do that. Forget your typical bloated gamer bass. The DT 900 Pro X is almost surgical in precision, allowing me to hear layers of bass that hits just right without ever dominating and muddying the equally sharp highs. Beyer really wasn’t kidding when they said these cans are for critical listening. You hear everything. For that reason, we’ve outlined some of the main areas you should consider before purchasing a new gaming headset. Similar to the other budget headsets on this list, the Somic G951s offers some decent value to the girl gamer who can’t afford to spend a lot on a headset. Just like the ONIKUMA headset, this is a cute headset with decent enough audio quality to be included on this list.On the bright side, the microphone on the H510 Zeus is just phenomenal and offers great clarity for your voice. You usually don’t expect to get a mic this good on headsets at this price point. The noise-canceling feature works well, and the mic is detachable, meaning you can easily get rid of it when you don’t need it. The price listed at this time makes the EG3 Pro one of the best budget-priced pink gaming headsets. This headset works with a PC and console, although the USB hookup is only for the lighting effects. If you need a good all-around headset for a reasonable price, you may have found the right one. If you don’t know the difference between stereo and surround sound before this is the gaming headset to experience the wondrous possibilities of multi-channel virtual surround sound systems because of its 7.1 channel system that offers a more immersive gaming experience. Frequency Response: 12 – 28.000 Hz | Driver Size: 50 mm | Connection Type: Analog 3.5 mm | Microphone Frequency Response: 100 – 10.000 Hz | Weight: 322 g One thing to note is that it might be difficult to connect these headphones to gaming consoles, so I suggest reading up on how to use regular headphones on Xbox One.

Best of all, the Phontum comes with a fair price tag. This isn’t the lowest-priced headset on this list, but they offer great sound quality and comfort for the price you pay. If you need a headset to help keep your gaming sessions quiet late at night, you’ll appreciate the little extra you spend here. This headset is quite cute at first glance. A nice, soft pink color runs throughout, with light gray on the cushions. The earcups light up, and the headset has removable cat ears. The cat ears are very cute, but you will be glad they are removable. They clamp onto the headband, and over time you will feel them in your head. The ears should only be used for long sessions if you have a lot of hair to cushion or if you wear a hat.First off, this headset looks very cute. It is pink all over, with removable cat ears included. If you are a streamer and you plan to wear the headset for a long time, you will appreciate the ears being separate from the headband. That way, they won’t dig into your head over long gaming sessions. Frequency Response: 20 – 20.000 Hz | Driver Size: 50 mm | Connection Type: USB | Microphone Frequency Response: Not Specified by Manufacturer | Weight: 360 g

Frequency Response: 20 – 22.000 Hz | Driver Size: 40 mm | Connection Type: 3.5 mm | Microphone Frequency Response: Not Specified by Manufacturer | Weight: 330 g

If you have a tighter budget but don’t want to compromise on looks or audio quality, the PeohZarr D99 is an excellent option. However, there are some things you should keep in mind before pulling the trigger. Due to working with PCs and what not, I'm reviewing the USB model which has a fixed USB Type-A cable and comes with a USB Type-C adapter in the box and has absolutely no issues. For people much cooler than me there's even an incredibly uncommon analog XLR option, which feels like it goes further to show off audio reverence in these devices. As far as comfort goes, this headset is very comfortable and really lightweight at 230 grams. The large oval earcups fit very well, and the cushions are nice and soft. You can also slide the earcups up and down on the headset to get the right fit. If you spend a lot of time playing games on your PlayStation, you will appreciate how comfortable the PlayStation Gold feels. Another plus for this headset is sound quality, as those big earcups deliver some impressive sound. For the price you are paying, the audio quality is top-notch. The range is wide, and you won’t lose much quality at higher volumes as well. The bass is powerful as well, so it’s great for just about any gaming experience.
