GPU dT was 27.7C during the GPU render, perhaps on the warm side of average. The O11 Dynamic did better again here with a 25.2C dT average. Neither GPU nor CPU temperatures reached anything close to their maximums, but it’s a good demonstration that even without heavy synthetic workloads the hardware is running warmer than it needs to. Corsair 680X Noise Thanks for the response and the input. I appreciate your insight and you showing your loop off, it looks great! Basically, is my thinking sound on this? It might seem like a dumb or obvious question but as I've never done vertical mounting before I'm not sure. Cheers! A few things to note, I wasn't sold on the vertical mounting of the GPU, but I love the way it looks in your setup, what kind of PCIe Riser Cable are you using? I want one that will be compatible with PCIe 4.0 since I have it and wouldn't want to abandon it for aesthetics only. High-speed USB 3.1 Gen-2 Type-C front panel connector puts future-proof connectivity within easy reach.

The cable side of the 680X consists of an all steel white panel which has some filtered ventilation on the lower portion. This filter magnetically attaches so it’s easy to remove and clean when doing maintenance on your PC. So I am still not 100% sure on the pump being up front, because I don't want it to look too crowded, but it's good to know that I have that option! High-resolution images of the CORSAIR Crystal Series 680X RGB and the CORSAIR Carbide Series 678C can be found at the links below: Next up is what we don't care for or wish to be improved in the 680X. This one is tough as the 680X does a lot of things right. While the three front LL fans are PWM, the rear exhaust is DC, and I think it would be helpful for all of the fans to be PWM so that they can be controlled on the same curve. Also, on that note, a PWM splitter would be a welcome addition here as while I would love to believe that all boards will work with no issues controlling all of the PWM fans you want, many do not have enough fan headers to service a vast array. I think a small PWM hub numbering 6-8 ports would be a great feature and add to the overall ease of building in the 680X. Easily install up to 3x 3.5in and 4x 2.5in drives in tool-free drive mounts, for high-capacity, flexible storage configurations. How would you even mount a GPU vertically without some kind of extra mount? As far as I know, most cases don't have such thing as a "vertical slot". Once removed you can install any fans/radiators as well as attach the included magnetic dust filter. Long story short, I'm planning on mounting a Gigabyte AORUS RTX 2070 SUPER vertically inside a Corsair Crystal 680x. I'd make sure that Cooler master part is compatible with your Corsair case. It seems pretty big, and specifically made for specific models of Coolermaster cases. One thing that really stands out with the 680X RGB is the absolutely gorgeous LL120 fans. Pictures do not do these fans justice and you really need to see them in person.

Additional rad space won't guarantee better performance, it will just give you the option to have similar performance with less noise as you can run your fans at lower fan speeds. The less rad space you have the faster your fans have to run.The CORSAIR Crystal Series 680X RGB and the CORSAIR Carbide Series 678C are available immediately from the CORSAIR worldwide network of authorized retailers and distributors, as well as direct from the CORSAIR webstore. So i do really like this case, easy to build in, nice finish and you can really build a nice system inside.. however i have a serious issue with the space with my current setup, Load testing is conducted using Prime95 LFFTs and Kombustor “FurMark” stress testing simultaneously. Testing is completely automated using in-house scripting, and executes with perfect accuracy on every run. Building on the legacy of CORSAIR’s multi-award winning Carbide Series Air 540, the 680X RGB uses a dual-chamber layout. By separating your headline hardware from drives and cables, it is easier than ever to create an immaculate build. The dual-chamber design ensures a Direct Airflow Path between the included cooling fans and your PC’s hottest components, efficiently directing cool air to where it’s needed most. In addition to the four included fans, the 680X RGB boasts room for up to eight 120mm fans and four simultaneous radiators (up to 360mm in front, up to 280mm in the roof and floor, and up to 140mm in the rear), providing a huge range of options for custom cooling systems. Finally, a vertical graphics card mount lets you put your graphics card center stage – perfect for the 680X RGB’s three crystal-clear tempered glass panels in the front, roof and side that show off your components. Install up to 8x 120mm or 7x 140mm fans for massive cooling potential, with room to mount up to four radiators.

Also, I am planning on using soft tubing, only because it is my first build and I want to make it easier on myself, and I believe it allows for a little wiggle room here and there. Once you have selected your desired lighting effect, you can see how it will look in the upper right pane. If you which to change attributes such as the speed, direction, and colors you can do this on the lower portion of the screen. I recently did my first ever custom loop in my 680X, I came across a few fitting issues during my first attempt, but you can see my final result below. We are grateful to the many people who have contributed to our manual collection, either by supplying manuals or circuits or tidying up manuals and circuits to make them more readable. Introduction

The 680X supports up to three full sized 3.5” drives and an additional four 2.5” using the drive cage placed above the PSU. Depending on how many 2.5” drives you are installing, you can adjust the number of bays by adding/removing them as you see fit. Now we get to what we like and don't like; what we like coming first. The 680X is a sizeable case, allowing fitment of pretty much anything you would need. The removable trays while not an entirely new idea help make this case from a capable addition to one that is much easier to build in. The ample cable management space afforded by its more substantial form factor means that you are not hoping all of your panels will still close nicely after managing cables. Also, while RGB is not always my favorite addition to a case, I do feel that the LL fans work well with the open glass panels on the 680X. The 680X comes pre-fitted with 3x LL20 RGB fans for improved aesthetics. Extensive air and water cooling options are included as you may install up to 8x 120mm or 7x 140mm fans for proper cooling potential, with room to mount up to four radiators – including one 360mm. It's also equipped with magnetic dust filters on all intake fans which allows for easy building and maintenance.

Turning the box to the side, we have more shots of the 680X showing its dimensions as well as some specifications written at the top in 3 different languages. The Corsair Crystal 680X came to market with a part number of CC-9011169-WW, which is not as simple to be able to remember as some we have reviewed previously. The dimensions of the cube style mid-tower come in at 505mm tall, 423mm deep, and 344mm wide. As you can see, the width is quite higher than a normal mid-tower, and this is due to the dual chamber design, which houses the storage and PSU behind the motherboard tray. The Carbide Series 678C is a low noise case defined by its clean lines and smooth steel construction, styled for sophistication with a single tempered glass side panel offering a window into your system. Equipped with three CORSAIR SP140 PWM fans, a six-fan PWM repeater and high-density sound dampening material on the side, front, and roof panels to deaden the noise from your components, the 678C is easy on the ears as well as the eyes. Once you install and run the software, it will automatically detect all your iCUE compatible devices. As you can see, the pre-installed Lighting Node PRO was found. If for some reason you don’t see your device, just shut down and restart the application. We have had this happen in another Corsair review, and a simple restart of the software resolved the problem. At the bottom of the case are mounting rails for up to two 120mm/140mm fans and can also support a 240mm/280mm radiator.Illuminate your system with three included LL120 RGB fans, boasting a total of 48 customizable RGB LEDs.
