In September, Craig shared details in a video on social media, he could be seen opening the box containing his new book for the first time.

It was really great reading the first 100 pages (or so) of the book, it brought back a lot of nostalgia of the noughties. Word leaked out in the UK papers that Craig wouldn’t come out as a winner from his first 6 BRIT Award nominations before the show was even broadcasted. Hosting smash singles including '7 Days' and 'Walking Away', the album placed Craig at the top and earned him three Ivor Novello Awards as well as six BRIT Award nominations in 2001. Because now I’ve got a following of people who are like ‘we know your character, we know who you are and we know how you carry yourself’ so now it’s about how you can help people, how can you be of service?

Being able to bring back some of the amazing moments we’ve all shared together so far, while reflecting on the life lessons and struggles I’ve had to overcome personally along the way, I feel now was the perfect time to ground it all in something tangible for you to enjoy💫 By pouring my heart out in my 1st ever book I hope ‘What’s Your Vibe? to lean into mental health and depression and lack of boundaries, saying yes when you really meant no and being a people pleaser, impostor syndrome; so many things that were just a human-to-human connection that I felt if I spoke about that, that is something that can hopefully help people and that’s a book that’s worthwhile to make.

As he’s reflecting on the moments of his life that prove to be contributions to the man he’s become, the reader can find some of the moments to be very relatable. At the end of the day, it’s so easy for the trolls to make such comments; it’s not happening to them. This is Craig as we've never seen him before - the always-positive showman, baring his soul for the first time. In opening up about how he overcame these obstacles, Craig shares his insight and provides practical advice that will help us to navigate the daily challenges we all face. My one criticism was it was sometimes very deep around the self help elements, I would've preferred it to be just a normal autobiography.

I don't usually read autobiographies, however I have always loved Craig David and wanted to give this a try. In Craig’s much-anticipated first book – part-memoir, part self-help – he shares his journey of reinvention, self-love and acceptance, and the lessons he’s learned along the way. Aptly names '22', the album included tracks such as 'DNA' with Galantis, 'Who You Are' with MNEK and 'My Heart's Been Waiting for You' with Duvall. Craig David has been in the music industry for an impressive 22 years, and brought out his first book What's Your Vibe? Craig started making his way back to the mainstream in 2011 when his DJ name TS5 started uploaded the sets to Soundcloud, and on the back of this success Craig embarked on a huge world tour that took him all over the globe.

Aged 18, he burst onto the scene with the garage classic 'Rewind' and, following the phenomenal success of his debut album Born To Do It, he has continued to top the charts over the past 22 years, amassing 17 million album sales and over 1 billion streams, to date. It's a series of lessons learned from a life lived, many of which I've only realised in retrospect - after all, it is only through living that we can learn and grow. He has received 14 Brit Award nominations, two Grammy nominations, four MOBO awards, three Ivor Novellos honouring his songwriting and, most recently, an MBE for his services to music. From the outside, nobody would know anything about Craig's struggles as I am sure he always comes across as a very upbeat and positive person, always wanting to please everyone which he freely admits to, but sometimes he has had to learn to say no, to protect himself from taking on too much. I probably didn’t pay enough attention to the second last sentence of the blurb…that this would be about Crag David giving advice. He was famous as the artist who always had a smile on his face but things started to unravel for him personally and he had to deal with the negative feelings he'd kept hidden.
