Tractrix Horns along with copper spun IMG 5.25-inch woofer further clarifies the sound output and reduces any component noise. It has a wealth of input options. In terms of digital input and Bluetooth wireless transmission, there is also a USB type B and an optical input, allowing you to connect digital streamers, computers, TVs, Xboxes, and other pieces of equipment. Injection Molded Graphite (IMG) woofer cones are exceptionally light while being extremely rigid – providing remarkable low-frequency response, with minimal cone breakup and distortion. When paired with the Tractrix Horn-loaded LTS tweeter, it provides speaker efficiency highest in its class. The paneling on all sides is made out of MDF covers. MDF looks good and helps in reducing any excess vibrations that might bleed out from the speakers. It is also scratch-resistant. The sound the speakers produce is very crisp and clear. This is because of the signature horn-loaded design that the company uses. The 90×90° Tractrix Square that houses the tweeter does a lot to minimize any audio distortion that can compromise the sound’s quality.

Throughout the test I never felt short changed by the Klipsch R-41PM speakers. You have to keep in mind how much you’re asking these speakers to do for the money and, as such, they offer a lot for the price. Coupled with the wide array of connectivity options (more than some expensive models I could mention), the comparatively neutral sound output and the admirable clarity over the entire soundstage, the R-41PM speakers offer tremendous value for money. If you’re looking for a pair of powered speakers, keep the Klipsch R-41PMs at the top of your demo list. The update to the reference series have more powerful amps and a dynamic bass EQ feature. That means the R-41M can get louder than the older R-14M, while also benefitting from improved bass. However, they still don’t get quite as loud as the discontinued R-15Ms, which currently costs around the same. Consider the R-15Ms as an alternative to the R-41Ms.

Again, Klipsch has used copper spun woofers in the construction of the woofer and these speakers also feature 1-inch LTS aluminum tweeters. The 1 inch tweeter square dome is horn loaded, a signature design choice from Klipsch. The exclusive Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) is designed to minimize distortion for enhanced, detailed performances. Material wise, the Kapton aluminium blend is an extremely light and rigid material used in the tweeter suspension to provide high efficiency and improve resolution and detail. Glancing at the price tag, I was prepared for fairly serious compromises. After all, the price is not just for the speakers but all of the other gear inside too. Hence the speakers themselves, if you think about the project budget as a whole, are actually only a part of the overall price. Next, I moved the speaker to the desktop, changed it to the desktop listening mode, and then connected the MacBook Pro directly to the R-41P via USB, without any settings or driver installation. In the state of near-field listening, the details are richer and more vivid, and the sound field is opened, and the sense of positioning is more precise than before. The speakers are of a perfect size for mounting on walls or bookshelves, and other surfaces. Standing just under a foot tall, their dimensions are as follows, 11.3 inches tall, 5.75 inches wide, and 7.9 inches deep.

Nonetheless, the R-41M are definitely more than worth their price when it comes to their performance. The open nature of the mids also aided the keyboards, adding to their grandeur and giving them an important part to play in the mix. I wanted to replace the treble-deficient front speakers of my "vintage" Logitech 5500 5.1 system. These little Klipsch R-41M's looked (by their specs) like they might fit the bill re size, frequency response, impedance, power profile, and low cost. They did. Since its inception in 1946, Klipsch has made a name for itself in the world of loudspeakers with a series of products that showcase flat frequency response and an immersive sound without breaking the bank.Talking about the hardware, it is almost the same as what the R41M has in it. There is a 1-inch LTC aluminum tweeter in this speaker and pairs well with the Tractrix Horn of 90×90 square.
