Synopsis: When a single mother and her two sons move to the sleepy seaside California town of Santa Carla, they discover much more than they anticipated in this visually stunning blend of hip humor, horror and rock 'n' roll about the most compelling group of contemporary vampires ever to put fang to vein.

For this UHD edition, the same set of bonus features are ported over and contained on the Blu-ray, but the audio commentary is shared between both discs. There are also multiple subtitle varieties on offer including English, German and Spanish SDH, as well as Spanish, Dutch and French regular subtitle options. That's what immediately sold me because, at the time, I could easily relate with both Micheal (Jason Patric) and Sam (Corey Haim) moving into a new town after their parents divorced and the now-single mom Lucy (Dianne Wiest) is busy with a job, as well as the dating world. The remainder of the supplements are found on the Blu-ray, though there’s nothing new here and these are dated circa 2008 (when the original Blu-ray came out).Accepting that his new home is a little weird but he might as well make the best of it, Sam eases right in and finds his people - two fellow comic-book enthusiasts Edward ( Corey Feldman) and Alan ( Jamison Newlander).

Dialogue reproduction is crystal-clear and well-prioritized above the action from start to finish while a solid, hearty low-end provides the visuals and music with ample and weighty bass, making for a great listen at home. So while again, there’s no added value in the form of any new supplemental features, at least we’re getting all the previously produced extras…. Unfortunately, many key cast are missing (Jason Patric, Jamie Gertz, Dianne Wiest), and the runtime feels a bit too short given the film's cult status. However by also cleverly focussing on the seductive aspects of life as a Lost Boy – do what you want, go where you want, take what you want, BE what you want….
