Regaine Foam comes in pressurised canisters. On the other hand, Regaine Solution comes in spray bottles. Both of these variants are known for being effective in producing the same results as they both contain the same strength of the active ingredient Minoxidil at 5% The one that is most suitable for you will depend on the size of the area of the scalp you need to treat. For large areas of the scalp, the pump spray is the most effective dispenser. The rub-on is best for small areas, and the extended spray tip is the best option for small areas concealed under the hair. Young men with a small, coin-shaped patch of baldness among the scalp as well as those with thinning hair are expected to benefit the most from this medication. If you have been experiencing baldness for years now or you have a large patch of areas that have lost hair on your head, then Regaine may not be of any help anymore. Regaine has been shown to stabilise hair loss in 9out of 10 men. It is important to remember that hair growth is a slow process. Soft, downy hair growth may be seen in as little as 8 weeks, but can take up 12-16 weeks. There are several factors which may influence how well Regaine works for you, including the predominance of hereditary hair loss in your family, the cause of the hair loss, the area of the scalp affected, and the length of time you have been losing your hair for. If you haven’t seen any results after using Regaine foam for 16 weeks, you should discontinue the product. How long does REGAINE take to work?

Everyone is different, and results from Regaine vary from person to person. Clinical studies have shown that hair regrowth may be seen as early as 8 weeks, but you should allow up to 16 weeks to notice results. One canister of Regaine lasts for approximately one month. Using more than the recommended dose, or applying it more often, will not make hair grow any faster. It is recommended to keep using Regaine for as long as desired to maintain effect. What is the difference between REGAINE Foam and REGAINE Solution? Hair and scalp should be thoroughly dry prior to topical application of Regaine for Men Extra Strength Scalp Solution 5% w/v Cutaneous Solution. A dose of 1 ml Regaine for Men Extra Strength Scalp Solution 5% w/v Cutaneous Solution should be applied to the total affected areas of the scalp twice daily. The total dosage should not exceed 2 ml. If fingertips are used to facilitate drug application, hands should be washed afterwards.You should not use Regaine if you are also taking medicines for high blood pressure; it is theoretically possible that the use of Regaine could enhance the effect of medication prescribed for hypertension (blood pressure) and cause dizziness. Even if you are not on medication for hypertension, Regaine is not a suitable product for you. When Regaine for Men Extra Strength: Scalp Foam is used as recommended, it is extremely unlikely that these effects will occur. However there is a chance the drug could get into the blood stream if it is over used or if there is a scalp condition such as psoriasis present. There is some evidence from in vitro studies that minoxidil reversibly binds to human plasma proteins. Protect from sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C.

Users should be aware that, whilst extensive use of Regaine for Men Extra Strength Scalp Solution 5% w/v Cutaneous Solution has not revealed evidence that sufficient minoxidil is absorbed to have systemic effects, greater absorption because of misuse, individual variability, unusual sensitivity or decreased integrity of the epidermal barrier caused by inflammation or disease processes in the skin (e.g. excoriations of the scalp, or scalp psoriasis) could lead, at least theoretically, to systemic effects.

Regaine for women

The failure to detect evidence of systemic effects during treatment with Regaine solution reflects the poor absorption of topically applied minoxidil from normal intact skin. Systemic absorption of minoxidil from topically applied solution ranges between 1% and 2% of the total applied dose. Author Do not use Regaine if you have previously had a bad reaction to Minoxidil or any other ingredients in the product. It is important to apply Regaine no more than twice a day with a 12-hour interval between applications. Additional applications of the product are not going to increase its effectiveness but will only likely increase the possibility of increasing side effects.
