Description

If you are using more than one type of eye drop you should administer them at least five minutes apart, to prevent the second drop washing away the first. Use eye gels or ointments last.

Carmellose sodium comes in a bottle with an eye dropper, or as a box of single-dose droppers. The single-dose droppers do not contain preservatives. How to use the eye drops Certain medicines should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. However, other medicines may be safely used in pregnancy or breastfeeding providing the benefits to the mother outweigh the risks to the unborn baby. Always inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, before using any medicine. Please take care that the dropper doesn't touch your eye, your fingers, or any other surface. This could contaminate the drops left in the bottle. After putting in the eye drops you may get slightly blurred vision or a mild stinging sensation. If your vision is affected it is recommended that you do not drive or use any machinery until your vision has cleared. Single-dose droppers should usually be used as soon as you open them. But you can reseal some brands and use them again up to 12 hours later, for example Carmize, Cellusan and Melophthal. Carmellose sodium, lactic acid, sodium hydroxide, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, sodium edetate, cetrimide (preservative), water.

After administration, in rare cases, a slight temporary blurring of vision may be observed due to the viscosity of the solution. It is therefore advisable to wait for a few seconds before any activity that requires clear vision. Make sure that the single-dose container is intact before use. The solution should be used immediately after opening. To avoid contamination or possible eye injury, do not let the open-end of the single-dose container touch your eye or anything else. Wash your hands before use. The following adverse reactions have been identified during clinical studies of 0.5% w/v and 1.0% w/v Celluvisc Eye drops, solution, unit dose.

Brimonidine Tartrate Ophthalmic Solution, 0.15%, NDC numbers 60505-0564-1, 60505-0564-2 and 60505-0564-3. If you find it hard to use eye drops, ask a pharmacist for advice. They may be able to recommend an eye drop dispenser. Using eye drops correctly can be difficult, but there are several useful devices (compliance aids) available to help. Speak to your pharmacist to see which device would best suit your eye drops. Brands include,Autodrop, Opticare and Drop Aid Single Dose. Expiry dates and storage If you’re using a bottle, remove the lid. If you’re using the single-dose dropper, twist the top off.
