Cable noise is only a minor issue so most of the time you can enjoy what is essentially a balanced overall sound, only lacking some detail and clipped somewhat at the top end. Kick drums and deep basslines blast through the mix in a way that, although it’s quite good fun, is also obviously false. You might find yourself thinking that in an increasingly wireless world Bluetooth headphones have completely taken over the market, and you wouldn’t be totally wrong.

Sennheiser CX 300-II review | TechRadar

Today, we have millions of users a month from around the world, and assess more than 1,000 products a year. And even though acoustic instruments in this range sound super fat, the timbre still retains a natural tone. While more expensive than the CX 300S and lacking the same detailed midrange, the E3000C does offer more emphasis on the lows and highs. If you want hifi reviews of it , I think in 2008 in won the best inner ear headphone in what hifi mag for under 50 pounds.

You’re not going to block out as much external noise as you can with true in-ear or custom moulded earphones, but the CX 3. Unsurprisingly this also makes for a fairly flat soundstage with limited dynamic range – other than those massive bass hits kicking in. We’re all for a bit of a bass boost on these sort of everyday earphones, but wonder if Sennheiser’s taken it a touch too far. We’ve got a muscular, rich bass that gives ample impact to pop songs and tons of warmth to rock tracks.

CX 300S | Sennheiser

I purchased these to be a pair of gym headphones, because I can't justify bringing my 530's (partially due to the cabling issues that may occur due to wear and tear). All those little overtones that allow you to pick out which cymbal is being hit, whether a guitarist is playing a passage legato or picking every note, or whether that’s the oboes or clarinets, is somewhat lost. With that, I’m here to talk about a little something from headphone behemoth Sennheiser, with their CX300S in-ear wired headphones. muted design: they come in a choice of black, white or red, the cable is clean of any mic or volume control (though that does mean they weigh only 12g) and, but for modest logos on each ear piece, the brand is largely anonymous. I bought these today, Very stylish and comes with a Cute little pouch (look in the back of the box, as some of you may get rid of the box and the travel pouch). We tested the black version, which has a suitably understated style, although versions with white or red cables and earpiece accents are available, too.

A lack of inline controls and microphone might put off smartphone users, but audiophiles who place audio quality above everything else will have plenty to enjoy here. I found the sound stage to be much smaller, and at times, having to crank the volume to get the highs to where I want them. But during most of my listening sessions, I was too busy enjoying the overall sound to notice these tiny and infrequent hiccups. A rounding off of the treble, which tends to dampen what should be two lively pieces of music, doesn’t help. Sennheiser has cranked up the bottom end from its CX 300 II to compete with the low-cost Beats models, but in doing so it’s lost a bit of finesse. Overall it’s not a bad selection, although we would’ve preferred to see a more practical cloth carry bag for the money.
