However, he soon finds that when your own family treats you like a villain, it is far too easy to become one. I really enjoy reading the Disney Villains series, especially to see how all these characters’ stories entwine to create one bigger story. Zeus took the sky and what fell beneath it for himself, then assigned the sea to Poseidon, and the Underworld to Hades. Thank you to NetGalley, Disney Audiobooks, and Serena Valentino for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

He was rather one note from beginning to end which I found such a shame because there are so many directions you can go with Hades and still be successful in getting his character bang on. Entertainment: Animazment: The Musical • Disney Dreams: An Enchanted Classic • Disney's Wishes • Fantasmic! I understand that the web is being woven, but the plot hops and story connects felt loose and somehow also hard to follow. Part of the official Disney Villain Tales series, and written by the best-selling author Serena Valentino.

If I’d stuck at it, I easily could have finished this book in just over an hour but I forced myself to slow down and read it in 4 sittings - mainly in the hopes that the story would get better, which sadly wasn’t the case.By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Kill the Beast Source Fire and Fate is the tenth book in the Villains Book Series, written by Serena Valentino and takes the origin story of Hades from the Disney animated classic, Hercules. The book links to previous villain stories within the series and tells Hade's story not just from the author's viewpoint but also from the character's view. Fire and Fate" is book 10 in the Disney "Villains" series by Serena Valentino being an origin story to Hades from "Hercules.

And now I'm also curious as when we can see how the other stories will tie into this and how Hades and the witches will impact the story from now on. Serena Valentino is the author of the New York Times best-selling Villains series, and has earned critical acclaim in both the comic and horror domains, where she is known for her unique style of storytelling. The flow was good because I was able to read through the story very quickly but it was majorly lacking in the substance that the others in this series possess. Whether you're looking for some textbooks for university, the latest biography or a travel guide - you'll find what you need in our categories. I advise readers to re-read Mistress of All Evil and The Odds Sisters before sinking their teeth into Fire and Fate. The myth has been told for centuries: Brothers Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades waged a years-long war against their father Cronus and his tyrannical Titans. TV series songs: Send My Boy to School • My Town • Pericles of Athens • Promethean Ditty • The Agora • The Bacchanal • The Man That I Love • Pucker Up or Let Him Snooze • That's How the Story Goes • Aphrodesia Dance • Love Is In The Air • Since the Light Went Away • Ain't Life a Beach • Can-Do King • Kronos Stone • What's a Mother to Do?

So, don’t let that sway you, except that I do think a basic understanding of the Disney story helps a lot in this series. It all just happened so fast and there wasn’t much of a fight and I feel like the odd sisters would have been so mad that Hades took the original Circe. I can tell that there were many connections between this book and others in the Disney villain series, particularly with The Odd Sisters, but it didn’t impact my ability to understand or enjoy the book.He intervened and brought Circe out of the Place Between and to the dead woods with Hazel and Primrose. Despite this, I loved the author’s writing style and thought that Hades was portrayed excellently, as I could almost HEAR him saying his words the way the movie character would have. Hades was fascinated by the odd sisters and wanted to be apart of their life so he took Circe away and made the odd sisters believe she was killed in the fire Maleficent caused in the fairylands.
