It takes some effort to get a clean shave with it around those prominent facial features like your Adam’s apple, its shaving head (precisely the frame) is quite wide for a 3 blade shaver, it’s pretty slow and doesn’t glide easily on the skin. The last part is not an issue during a wet shave though.

Because of this, some dirt and hairs may be trapped inside over time if you only clean it manually. If that’s the main thing you’re after, you’ll be better off with the aforementioned Panasonic instead. We can easily identify the new razors as all of them start with 70, while the original Series 7 have either 3 digits (like 790cc) or start with 78 (like 7865cc).

At this point, I think it’s safe to say that the 3 new families of shavers are more similar than different. Getting into the shaver, it’s the version which comes with digital display – Syncro 7680. I have been using it for two weeks, about every 3 days because I do not have much facial hair growth. Again, I think it’s a decent shaver, especially when used on short facial hair and for users with less coarse beards, but it feels underwhelming for a Series 7. I’ll break down the performance into several chunks, starting with the closeness. Closeness of the shaveIn fact, it was never quite as smooth as for example the older Series 5 like the 5190cc or the older Series 7. There are other foil shavers in this price range like the Panasonic Arc 4 that will provide a closer shave. And I think these accessories can tip the balance in favor of the new Series 7, 6 or 5 when deciding between them and any other shavers that don’t offer such accessories. I have tried using the razor in the shower since they advertise this waterproof capability. I didn’t find that I received a better shave although it did seem to be a wee bit easier to clean. To be honest, it seems more of a bother to bring it into the shower with me.

If you shave daily or every other day and the shaver is within your budget, then it’s a good option. But, if you have coarse growth or like to grow for three days or more before shaving, then this Series 6 might not do the job well enough or take a little too long to keep clearing up leftover patches. The new SmartCare center looks extremely similar to the Series 3 station and it feels like a downgrade from Braun’s previous stations. Charge, Clean & Care

Clean and charge station: it’s made in Ireland. It looks quite identical to other Braun cleaning stations, however, it’s got a fan inside with a button to select the functions as clean or charge. Literarily, it gives you two options as either just clean the shaver or to charge it only. The dermatologically tested SensoFlex head minimizes pressure for sensitive skin whilst giving you a close shave. So I would say that the Series 6 is a good choice if you have light to medium hair and tend to shave more often. The shaver did seem to struggle somewhat and left quite a lot of leftovers where I had to shave over the same spot when I shaved with three days of growth. However, it was nothing major and was soon cleaned up when I noticed the unshaven parts. Many electric shavers perform differently when used on short vs long facial hair, so I shaved daily and every other day for the most part, but also tried it on a 3-day beard to see if it can handle longer hairs.
