Wipe the base with a clean, damp cloth if necessary. You can use the image below as a guide for cleaning your milk frother.

If limescale has accumulated in the internal circuits of the coffee machine, this can reduce the temperature of the coffee flowing out. To avoid this, descale your L'OR BARISTA coffee machine regularly. Note: the Lungo and Ristretto buttons will start blinking after brewing a coffee to let you know that it is time to descale your machine. You can find instructions on how to descale your coffee maker in the user manual supplied with your L'OR BARISTA® machine, or you can watch the video below. We recommend that you use the L'OR BARISTA CA6530 descaler (available soon). Milk can be a breeding ground for bacteria if it is not cleaned properly. This can lead to food poisoning. This machine’s worth the money, considering you won’t need a Nespresso machine and an Aeroccino. This machine is a 2-in-1. I like the milk frother because it’ll automatically froth milk for cappuccinos and lattes. Eliminating any manual input for frothing. However, it’s a bit loud. I wouldn’t recommend running it when other folks are asleep. A milk frother will make your coffee taste better as you’ll have more control over the temperature of the milk so you won’t overheat it which can happen when you heat milk in other methods. The portafilter handle is also a pain to twist. It requires a bit of effort to move. I don’t recommend this machine to anyone with arthritis or other wrist issues. Size matters, and depending on how much hot drinks you actually drink, find a frother with a suitable capacity for your needs. If it’s just one cup or shorter coffees then a smaller capacity would be sufficient, but making two or more drinks at a time would need something larger.

Even though manual milk frothers take a little more effort than electric alternatives, the HIC Fino Milk Frother plunged smoothly and created rich, long-lasting foam for our testers in just under 60 seconds. It's also cheaper than most electric counterparts (although, there are many electric handheld frothers at a similar or lower price). And since it's lightweight and doesn't require electricity, it's portable enough to take with you when traveling or camping. Insert a capsule and lower the lever. Note: insert a L'OR BARISTA double espresso capsule if you want a double espresso or two espressos at the same time.It includes an automatic milk frother that’ll spew milk into your coffee cup in the messiest way possible. Meaning, this device doesn’t excel in presentation. Rinse the metal whisk, the shaft and the lid under lukewarm water, or wash them all in the dishwasher. We also measured how long each milk frother takes to heat up 180ml of oat milk and semi-skimmed milk, and if it heated to an appropriate temperature for drinking coffee and hot chocolate.

If you don’t have sufficient space for an electric machine to whisk up some frothy foam, this handheld Rapido Automatic Milk Frother gets the job done well. Steam wands will produce microfoam (smaller bubbles). While milk frothers produce macro foam. The former works better for drinks like lattes. The latter, for macchiatos and dalgona coffee. The coffee machine with electric milk frother by L'OR has a water reservoir of 1.2L. The height of the machine is 280 millimetres and it is 400 millimetres long. The milk frother that comes with it is an easy-to-use milk frother. When you put milk in the machine, it makes sure that you get a nice layer of foam. The amount of milk you put in the frother depends on how many cappuccinos you want to make. The L'OR electric milk frother is capable of preparing enough milk for 2 cappuccinos in one go. It performed well with both dairy and non-dairy milk, and our testers also said it made excellent cold foam and hot chocolate. When you're done, just pop the top part of the frother in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. One of the only criticisms we have is that it's louder than many other electric frothers that we tested. In terms of cost per use, if you buy the XXL pods in bulk, it works out as 30p per coffee. Sure, there's also a small cost of running it added to your electricity bill, and the cost of buying a descaler once in a while, but overall I think it's well worth it because coffee's one of those small but important pleasures. One of the only downsides we encountered is that the temperature isn't consistent. The milk tended to end up hotter than the temperature we selected. It wasn't a major difference, though—the 140-degree setting frothed milk at 151 degrees—and the consistency of the milk froth is, by and large, more important than milk temperature. If you’re a real coffee aficionado, you’ll probably want to opt for a manual espresso machine. These add a degree of control and flexibility that let you eke out the best from your coffee. There’s more effort involved (manually weighing, grinding and tamping the coffee, not to mention cleaning up in between each shot of espresso), but the pay-off is worth it if you’re a connoisseur.
